Leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hoa Binh Ward visited and presented gifts to War invalid Hoang Duc Ha, residing in Group 15, Phuong Lam Ward (old).
On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), many delegations of provincial leaders came to offer incense at national and provincial cemeteries and martyrs' monuments such as: Monument to heroic martyrs of Phu Tho province in Hy Cuong commune; Hoa Binh Campaign Martyrs' Cemetery in Thong Nhat ward; Statue of President Ho Chi Minh on Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant; Martyrs' Monument in Vinh Phuc, Vinh Phuc ward... Each respectful incense stick, each wreath of flowers contains deep gratitude to the outstanding children who fell for the independence and freedom of the nation.
Provincial leadership delegations led by comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province directly visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to policy families and NCC in many localities such as Viet Tri, Vinh Yen, Hoa Binh, Phu Ninh, Cao Phong, Te Lo, Muong Dong... Although the material gifts were not large, they were the gratitude of the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in the province sent to the families, as a reminder to never forget the merits of previous generations.
Comrade Nguyen Phi Long - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was moved to share during a visit and gift-giving session to families of seriously wounded soldiers in Hoa Binh ward: "Showing gratitude to war veterans is not only a duty but also a political responsibility and the moral principle of "When drinking water, remember its source" of our nation. I hope that war veterans will continue to promote the tradition with the revolution, educate their children and grandchildren in the family, the younger generation, and contribute to building the homeland to become increasingly prosperous...".
Also on this occasion, activities to commend and honor were organized. In the delegation of outstanding NCC attending the 2025 National Conference, Phu Tho province had 10 typical faces, representing thousands of NCC and their relatives in the province. Among them, Mr. Trinh Quoc Tuan, residing on Doc Ngu Street, Tan Hoa Ward, is one of the bright examples. We met him on the occasion of the 1972 Military Council holding a friendly meeting to celebrate the War Invalids and Martyrs Day. The 1972 Military Council was established in 1998 with over 30 members, now there are 26 members. Mr. Tuan shared with us about his early days of enlistment in 1972, then the process of fighting in the Southeast battlefield, being wounded and imprisoned in June 1974. Then the emotions exploded when the country became independent, the North and the South were reunited. After returning to his hometown in 1978, he transferred to work at the People's Committee of Hoa Binh City (old), gradually matured and held the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee before retiring in 2014. He was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal along with many certificates and commendations and was always exemplary, actively building cultural life in residential areas...
In addition to Mr. Tuan, the NCC delegation of the province also includes Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tri, Vinh Tuong commune, born in 1933, former leader of the People's Committee of Van Xuan commune (old), a war invalid who was imprisoned by the enemy, a party member with 70 years of Party membership, an exemplary life, his family is a typical cultural family. Or Mr. Nguyen Huu Quyen, zone 5, Phu Ninh commune, born in 1945, a Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former Lieutenant Colonel of the Army, with 55 years of Party membership, always maintaining a simple, exemplary lifestyle and actively educating traditions for the younger generation...
Mr. Trinh Quoc Tuan, Tan Hoa ward (4th from left) and members of the 1972 Military Council recall memories of the days of fighting on the battlefield.
To show gratitude to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, heroic martyrs and NCC with the revolution, in recent years, the provinces of Hoa Binh, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc (old), after the merger, Phu Tho province, have always attached importance to implementing the State's policies and strongly promoted the movements of gratitude to care for and support NCC more and more effectively.
Preferential policies on land, housing, health care, education, tax exemptions and reductions, and preferential loans are implemented synchronously and promptly. The material and spiritual life of the families of the NCC in the area is improving day by day. The province ensures full and appropriate policies such as monthly allowances, health insurance cards, health care, housing improvement support, and incentives in education and training. More importantly, all policies are implemented publicly and transparently... Gratitude movements such as "Repaying gratitude", "Remembering the source of drinking water" are spreading more and more widely. The socialization movement to care for NCC is strongly supported by agencies, businesses and the community. In particular, the program to eliminate temporary houses for people with meritorious services is being vigorously implemented...
The July gratitude activities are the connection between the past and the present, a bridge for today's generation to express gratitude for the achievements of blood and bones and the immortal faith of their ancestors. On this occasion, in each person resounds the familiar melody, the lyrics of the song "Continuing the Peace Story" as a sacred reminder: "Grateful to the soldiers who forgot their own feelings, forgot themselves. Flowing in their hearts is a stream of hot blood, the blood of Lac Hong...". It is not only a song of remembrance but also an immortal message of gratitude, so that the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" spreads in every Vietnamese heart.
