NDO - On May 25, Hoan Kiem District (Hanoi) began erecting fences to prepare for the demolition of the "Shark Jaw" building at 1-3-5 Dinh Tien Hoang, serving the project of renovating and beautifying Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square.

It took the units two days to complete the fence surrounding the building.

Workers rushed to erect barriers to meet the schedule.

The electrical system has been safely disconnected for construction.

The planning of Hoan Kiem Lake in general and Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in particular has been publicly posted by the Hanoi People's Committee at many locations in the Old Quarter.

Netting has been installed around the building to facilitate demolition.

Businesses renting business space here have proactively dismantled and relocated assets.

The interior items are being dismantled.

The outdoor billboards have also been removed.

After demolishing the Shark Jaw building, combined with renovating the surrounding streets, about 1.2 hectares of space will be created to serve community activities. Below this area, there will be 3 basements.
