Visiting the chili pepper farming model of Mr. Lo Van Son (Ea Bung commune, Dak Lak province), many youth union members were amazed by the lush green garden and the abundance of fruit.
Sharing his entrepreneurial journey and production experience, Mr. Son said that in 2020, he began researching, learning, and boldly implementing a chili pepper farming model with an initial area of 1 hectare. He diligently studied techniques, accumulated experience, and effectively applied them to production, and the model has gradually brought high economic efficiency.

In 2024, through the connection and support of the commune's youth union, Mr. Son accessed a youth startup loan from the Social Policy Bank with an amount of 50 million VND. This helped him expand his production scale and increase his planting area to 10 hectares per year.
He shared that each hectare yields over 18 tons, and after deducting investment costs, the profit is approximately 150-200 million VND per crop per hectare. Not only does this model provide a stable income for his family, but it also creates jobs for many local youth union members.

Based on the success achieved, Mr. Son established the Ea Sup Green Agricultural Cooperative and currently serves as its director, contributing to production linkages, expanding consumer markets, and promoting local economic development. In the future, he hopes to further expand the scale and replicate the model to create more jobs and support young people in developing their businesses.

Recently, the Ea Bung Commune Youth Union, in coordination with the Commune Women's Union, organized a visit for its members to learn about Mr. Son's chili farming model for economic development. This helped young people gain practical experience with exemplary economic models, thereby fostering creativity, a desire to succeed, and encouraging them to start their own businesses in their hometowns, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
Making land generate money.
In the local youth economic development movement, Hoang Trung Hieu (Ea Rieng commune, Dak Lak province), a member of the Youth Union, is a shining example of the spirit of daring to think and daring to act.

Visiting Mr. Hieu's melon garden during harvest season, everyone was amazed by the rows of melons, perfectly straight and laden with fruit.

Mr. Hieu shared that in 2016, after graduating from college with a degree in information technology, he decided to return to his hometown to start a business. Upon arriving, he noticed that the local people mainly relied on agriculture, and he was determined to turn this area into a lucrative place. He independently researched and learned how to grow high-yield agricultural crops suitable for the local soil. Recognizing that the soil and climate conditions where he lived were ideal for growing cantaloupe, he decided to start his business with this model.

He boldly converted his old coffee plantation to growing cantaloupe, investing in a trial planting of 3 acres. Initially, despite facing many difficulties due to market price fluctuations, he did not lose heart, gradually overcoming them and continuing to invest to further develop the model. Thanks to applying appropriate production processes and systematic care, the model initially yielded positive results, generating an income of approximately 80 million VND per crop after deducting expenses. He harvests three crops per year.

Mr. Hieu shared that agriculture is heavily influenced by climate, and growing cantaloupe in greenhouses helps cope with unpredictable weather changes. In addition, it also isolates the plants from disease-carrying insects.
His model farm attracts many young people and youth union members who come to visit, experience, and learn from it. In addition, he also sells pesticides and fertilizers.
