Exchange with Youth Online, Thuy Trang (studying accounting at a university in Hanoi) shared that she often invites her mother, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong (living in Bac Giang), to play Locket. This is a social network recently used by young people.
Unlike Facebook, Locket is often used by Gen Z to interact with relatives and friends with a limited number of friends. Everyday moments are automatically shared on the phone's home screen in the form of widgets.
“I told my mom: On this app, my sister and I often post photos, you can download them to see. Whenever you miss me or want to see what I'm doing, you can come here to help me remember less. I also want to see what mom does.
I go to school far from home. Locket is like a family diary. Mom often takes and posts pictures of cats and food. Every time I look at photos, I am very excited and feel like I am closer to my mother," Trang said.

She revealed that her mother started playing Locket in early March. This application is easy to use, so she learned it very quickly. Not only that, she also instructed her father to use social networks.
Initially, when exposed to the new application, her mother had difficulty manipulating features such as taking photos, viewing photos, making friends, and how the application works. When confused, she often video calls to ask her daughter. The daughter patiently advised and guided little by little so that her mother could easily remember. In less than a month, Ms. Huong was proficient in using it.
Don't be afraid to let your parents see your social networks
The daughter revealed that at home, her mother is the one who cares about the family, especially the children. Mom knows how to listen and understand. Trang doesn't pay much attention to parents looking at their children's social networks. She is connected to her parents on most social media platforms.

There were some pages that re-uploaded the pictures and her mother happened to see them. "My mother didn't seem to care, but still read everyone's comments," she said.
