On June 1, the General Department of Market Management (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that Market Management Team No. 6, Market Management Team No. 1 (Hanoi Market Management Department) had just coordinated with the Economic Police Team - Chuong My District Police to catch a facility producing tens of thousands of functional food bottles suspected of being fake.

According to information from the market management force, this functional food production facility is a damp, cramped level 4 house with an area of about 50m2 located deep in Cao Son village, Tien Phuong commune, Chuong My district.
At the time of unscheduled inspection, this facility had four local workers working. The owner was not present.

In fact, the functional forces recorded at the facility that there were nearly 12.000 bottles/boxes of functional foods that were packaged with eye-catching packaging and labels.
Notably, although manufactured and packaged in this narrow house, the outside of the boxes is mostly shown to originate from countries such as the US, Japan, and Korea.
Besides, a large number of finished products here also shows that the units responsible for product quality are domestic enterprises such as: Supharmco Co., Ltd; Lady cara export trade service and trade company limited; GENIX Trading Company Limited, Thinh Tam Duong Joint Stock Company, Tavuco Vietnam Trading Company Limited…
In addition to the above finished goods, the functional force also recorded that at the business premises there were more than 4.000 plastic bottles containing effervescent tablets without labels; 67 kg of pills of all kinds without labels.

There are also nearly 45.000 paper labels of all kinds with the words Lady, Xtraman, Toca, V3, anti-counterfeiting stamps; more than 15.000 pieces of paper boxes of all kinds with a heat torch machine and a used heat press machine with foreign letters.
Regarding the implementation stage, workers will process and pack effervescent tablets and tablets packed in different plastic bags into unlabelled plastic boxes with a pre-determined number of tablets.
Next, workers used heat torch and heat press machines to paste pre-printed labels of brands such as Lady, V3, Xtraman, HYPOLY, HeBora Collggen Enrich; Collagen Top Queen New, Glucosamine, BORA ....on the outside of the box.
As a final step, an anti-counterfeiting stamp will be applied at the end. And the product will be in a waiting position to be ready to reach consumers.

The Market Management Force said that at the time of inspection, this establishment operated without a business registration certificate; trading goods without listing prices according to regulations; unidentified business on e-commerce.

Notably, this establishment has signs of producing fake goods, which are food products with counterfeit labels and packages with the name and address of the enterprise producing and distributing the product; Forging product registration numbers as prescribed in Decree No. 98/2020 with the total value of counterfeit goods according to the value of real goods over 278 million VND.
Also present at the scene were representatives of Supharmco Co., Ltd., Thinh Tam Duong Joint Stock Company to identify products.
Accordingly, Mr. Kieu Trung Son, an employee of Supharmco Co., Ltd. said that the goods are effervescent tablets of food to protect health, the finished product labeled LADY at the business establishment is not a product produced by Fresh Life Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and Supharmco Co., Ltd. is responsible for product quality. Products with counterfeit labels and packages with the name and address of the enterprise producing and distributing the product; counterfeit product registration number.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Huy, an employee of Thinh Tam Duong Joint Stock Company also confirmed that 5.000 boxes of finished health foods with the XTraman word at the business premises that the functional forces inspected were not produced by SANTEX Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and Thinh Tam Duong Joint Stock Company was directly responsible for the product.
On June 1, the Information Management Team No. 6 transferred all the files and exhibits of the case with criminal signs at this facility to the Chuong My District Police for handling according to regulations.
