Xabi Alonso's Real was held to a draw by Saudi Arabia's representative. In the early morning of June 19, Real had a 1-1 draw with Al Hilal in Group H, FIFA Club World Cup 2025™.
According to the Daily Mail , Bellingham loudly swore at the assistant referee during Real Madrid's opening match of the FIFA Club World Cup™. The incident happened when Al Hilal defender Joao Cancelo kicked the ball and hit Bellingham, leading to a throw-in for Al Hilal.
Angry that the ball hit Cancelo first, the Real Madrid player shouted at the assistant referee: “It’s our ball, you bastard!”. Bellingham’s behavior quickly attracted the attention of fans, because at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, Bellingham also received a red card for swearing at the referee in a La Liga match.
Luckily for the English midfielder, the referee did not punish him for his rude behavior in the match. Just last week, coach Thomas Tuchel also revealed the conflicting views between him and his mother about midfielder Jude Bellingham's behavior on the field.
Tuchel admitted: “A lot of Bellingham's behaviour can cause mixed reactions. I see this through my family, especially my mother. She criticizes Jude Bellingham a lot."
Tuchel's comments come as Bellingham continues to stir controversy over his on-field reaction to the 3-1 defeat to Senegal on June 10. Bellingham was visibly upset when his goal was ruled out by VAR for a handball by Levi Colwill. After the match, the England star became so angry that he kicked a water bottle, leading to mixed reviews.
