Mr. Korhan Kemik, the Turkish Ambassador to Vietnam, shared his thoughts at the event.

Speaking at the event, the Turkish Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Korhan Kemik, shared: People-to-people connections play an extremely important role in relations between countries. In fact, this is the core foundation for the relationships that diplomats strive to build and cultivate.

Ambassador Korhan Kemik emphasized: When it comes to people-to-people exchanges, tourism is one of the key elements. Enhancing people's understanding of each other's countries and cultures contributes to fostering mutual understanding and connection between the two nations. In this context, tourism businesses play a crucial role in promoting and deepening the relationship between the two countries.

"On this occasion, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dorak Company for organizing today's event. I believe that, with their efforts and contributions, Dorak will continue to contribute to promoting the development of tourism cooperation between the two countries in the future. On behalf of the Turkish Embassy, we are also committed to continuing to support and facilitate these cooperative activities. Our team here, including trade officers and the Deputy Ambassador, is always striving to promote connections and cooperation between the two sides in the future," Ambassador Korhan Kemik affirmed.

According to Ambassador Korhan Kemik, when looking at the potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Türkiye, tourism stands out as a promising sector. Türkiye has long been known as a world-renowned tourist destination, with iconic landmarks such as Istanbul and Cappadocia. In recent years, Turkey has become an important international tourism hub. Air connectivity plays a key role in this development. Turkish Airlines is making a significant contribution to connecting the two countries.

"Thanks to convenient connectivity, Türkiye welcomed approximately 60 million international tourists last year. However, the number of Vietnamese tourists visiting Türkiye is still modest, and we hope to welcome more and more Vietnamese tourists to Turkey in the future. With joint efforts, I believe this goal is entirely achievable. Conversely, tourism is also a two-way flow. Vietnam is also strongly developing its tourism industry and welcomed approximately 20-21 million international tourists last year. This opens up many prospects for cooperation between Vietnam and Turkey in promoting tourist exchanges between the two countries. In the future, we will continue to promote this relationship together, with the joint efforts of diplomats, tourism management agencies, and businesses in the industry," Ambassador Korhan Kemik affirmed.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Vietnam, Mr. Shovgi Mehdizade, shared: "This event is a very good example of how we can continue to strengthen and consolidate relations between our countries and Vietnam."

“Vietnam is a very important historical friend of Azerbaijan. Last year, we celebrated the 65th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations, beginning with President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Azerbaijan. That historic visit laid the foundation for the strong relationship between the two countries. Today, our task is to continue to strengthen those relations and deepen the friendship between the two countries. In this process, tourism plays a crucial role. We invite all of you to take advantage of Turkish Airlines flights to connect your journey to Europe and the Middle East, and to participate in the fourth “Vietnam Days in Baku” program, which will take place in July this year – coinciding with the anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Azerbaijan. And of course, we also hope you will spend a few days in Istanbul to explore and experience this beautiful, historically rich city.”

Dorak Holding is a tourism and services group headquartered in Istanbul, Türkiye, established in 1971. After more than 50 years of development, Dorak has built a comprehensive tourism ecosystem including international travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, tourist transportation, hot air balloons, and experiential services at many famous destinations in Turkey. Dorak began operating in the Vietnamese market in 2013, focusing on developing Turkish land tours and combined regional tours. With a team of Vietnamese personnel knowledgeable about the market and a direct operating system in Turkey, Dorak is currently one of the most preferred Turkish land tour partners for many Vietnamese travel companies.
