Launched in July 2025, BIDV SmartBanking version X is not only a technology product, but also the crystallization of BIDV's 10-year journey of efforts to improve the digital experience. Since laying the first foundation for e-banking services in 2015, BIDV has continuously led the digitalization trend of Vietnam's financial industry with breakthrough steps. By 2021, the merger of Internet Banking and Mobile Banking into the new generation of SmartBanking marked a huge turning point. Pioneering utilities such as eKYC, QR money transfer, and online savings have quickly changed transaction habits, bringing digital banking closer to a large number of users.

By mid-2025, more than 93% of transactions at BIDV will be conducted on digital channels, with the number of digital customers exceeding 16 million and an average of 7 million online transactions conducted every day. BIDV SmartBanking version X marks an important milestone when it becomes the first and only digital banking application in Vietnam to support a synchronous, seamless experience on multiple platforms from the web, mobile applications, smart watches to keyboards integrated in chat applications such as Zalo, Messenger, iMessage, Viber.

The system is capable of analyzing spending, predicting behavior and making deeply personalized suggestions, not only supporting early detection of suspicious transactions but also automatically classifying spending, helping customers control their finances scientifically and effectively.

At the same time, the sophisticated combination of advanced technology and user-friendly design in the update is clearly shown through two interface versions: Pearl X with bright, dynamic tones for the modern young generation; and Emerald X luxurious, sophisticated with exclusive features and 1:1 support for premium customers. Each version allows users to fully customize according to personal preferences, from wallpaper, avatar to arrangement of priority functions.

The music night “Emerald X - Touch the heritage, open the future” at Nguyen Hue walking street (HCMC) created a special impression when thousands of audiences witnessed the moment BIDV SmartBanking was honored with the Vietnam Record.
