Appointment of the Commander of the Border Guard Force

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 2458/QD-TTg appointing Major General Vu Trung Kien, Deputy Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard's Law Enforcement Division, to the position of Commander of the Border Guard Force (Major General Vu Trung Kien was recently promoted to Lieutenant General by the President). Decision No. 2458/QD-TTg takes effect from the date of signing (November 7, 2025).

Prior to his appointment as Commander of the Border Guard, Comrade Vu Trung Kien served as Director of the Border Guard Intelligence Department. In October 2021, he was transferred and appointed as Deputy Commander of the Law Enforcement Department of the Vietnam Coast Guard.
