In 2024, thanks to the attention and guidance of the Central Government, the Provincial and District Party Committees, the supervision of the District People's Council, and the coordination of the provincial departments and agencies, along with the determination of the entire political system of the district; and the response and consensus of all strata of the people throughout the district, the Duc Co District People's Committee proactively and decisively managed and implemented the socio-economic development plans, ensuring national defense and security in the area. The district's economy continued to experience many positive changes; social welfare issues were addressed promptly.

Total production value (at current prices) reached VND 7,209.6 billion, achieving 100.34% of the plan, an increase of VND 320.6 billion compared to 2023. Average per capita income reached VND 47.0 million, an increase of VND 2.0 million compared to 2023, exceeding the set target.

Duc Co District (Gia Lai Province) is boosting economic development at Le Thanh International Border Gate.

The district has focused on agriculture, forestry, and fisheries; the National Target Program for building new rural areas; and the development of civilized urban areas, achieving many positive results.

Investment in basic infrastructure, construction management, and planning are prioritized by the district. Currently, the district is promoting the establishment of an industrial cluster in Duc Co district and is implementing steps to develop a district-wide regional plan. With its open policies and numerous incentives, many businesses from within and outside the province have chosen Duc Co as a destination for operation and investment. Transportation, trade, and services are developing rapidly; national and provincial roads are paved smoothly and are well-maintained. Many products from Duc Co district (including coffee, cashew nuts, durian, and bird's nest) are showcased at border markets in the Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone and are highly regarded for their superior quality. Rubber trees and various fruit trees also yield high profits, contributing to the district's economic development.

Activities at the Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone are bustling. To date, this border gate economic zone has 40 investment projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 643.87 billion. The estimated total import and export turnover at the Le Thanh International Border Gate reached USD 176.641 million, of which exports reached USD 52.754 million and imports reached USD 123.886 million.

The urban center in Duc Co district is becoming increasingly bustling.

Tourism is also a highlight of Duc Co district, receiving attention and investment from the government to shape ecotourism and cultural tourism. Tourist attractions in the district include: the Banyan Tree in Ghe village - Giang Huong forest, the historical site of the Chu Ty-Chu Bo victory - Duc Co Martyrs' Cemetery - Ho Chi Minh Trail - Le Thanh International Border Gate, Ong Dong waterfall - Doi stream… The district has issued plans to develop tourism sustainably, build tourism products, attractions, and create linked tour routes. This includes promoting and advertising activities, building the brand and image of the people, nature, and unique culture of the district.

The fields of Education and Training, Health, Population and Family Planning, Culture and Information, Physical Education and Sports, Social Policy, and administrative procedure reform have been given attention and implemented well by the district.
