CHINA - Recently, a cafe in Guangdong caused a stir when it announced a new type of coffee served with steamed chicken and cilantro.
According to a Weibo post, the staff at the cafe racked their brains to find a drink that would represent Guangdong province, and they decided on chicken coffee.
The post also included a video showing how this unique drink is prepared. Slices of steamed chicken topped with cilantro are placed in a glass of ice. Then, the bartender adds milk and coffee.
This unusual combination has caused a stir on Chinese social media. Many people said they even instinctively clutched their stomachs after reading the news about this drink.

"Wouldn't it be better to eat and drink separately?", one person commented.
Another netizen commented that the drink wasn't really tasty.
Currently, the wave of outrage shows no sign of stopping, with some people even calling the store to express their anger.
This isn't the first time unusual coffee variations have appeared in China. Earlier this year, the green onion coffee trend garnered attention on the social media platforms of the world's most populous nation.
