This information was shared by Phuong Hung, son of singer Elvis Phuong and nephew of artist Kieu Nga, on his personal page on the morning of July 14th.

Previously, Kieu Nga was hospitalized on July 6th due to a stroke, and subsequently fell into a deep coma.

"Singer Kieu Nga, my beloved aunt, has passed away, leaving behind immense grief for her family, friends, fellow artists, and all audiences everywhere, both domestically and internationally. I join Phuong Hung and the family in praying for Kieu Nga to rest in peace," Phuong Hung wrote.

The passing of the renowned singer Kieu Nga has left many Vietnamese music lovers deeply saddened.

Under Phuong Hung's post, viewers left comments such as: "We have lost a wonderful voice," "Thank you for bringing your voice to this world, rest in peace"...

Singer Kieu Nga, born in 1960, is the younger sister of singer Elvis Phuong. She is widely loved by audiences both domestically and internationally for her renditions of love songs by Trinh Cong Son and Ngo Thuy Mien, as well as French songs with Vietnamese lyrics such as Besame Mucho, Toi Jamais, Hello, Maman oh Maman, La Maritza, Vien Membrasser, Chanson Dorphee…

Kieu Nga and Ngoc Lan formed the "Queens of New Wave" duo, widely admired in the US and Vietnam during the 1980s and 1990s.

Kieu Nga once said that the two of them "had done many shows together, got along well, and cared for each other." While Ngoc Lan was gentle, Kieu Nga was very assertive. Kieu Nga once joked with Ngoc Lan, "When you go to shows with me, don't be afraid, no one can bully you."

When the renowned singer Ngoc Lan passed away, Kieu Nga took a break from singing for a while. On the first anniversary of her friend's death, Kieu Nga went to her grave and prayed, "When my child turns 18, if I'm lucky, I'll return to the stage, Ngoc Lan." And indeed, Kieu Nga did return afterward.

Before falling ill, Kieu Nga was still performing and living a normal life. The renowned singer Kieu Nga had previously returned to Vietnam to organize the concert "Xin con goi ten nhau" (2012), celebrating 30 years of singing in 2015, and the concert "Chancens d'Amour - Timeless Love Songs " (2017) to express gratitude to her audience.

Kieu Nga said that throughout her singing career, she has been fortunate to be loved by many and to collaborate with lovely people.
