On the afternoon of February 27th, in Yen Hoa commune, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh province organized a meeting to consult with candidates for the 19th term of the Provincial People's Council, 2026-2031, in electoral unit No. 3.

Attending the conference were: Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hong Linh; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department Truong Thanh Huyen; Head of the Economic and Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, along with candidates for the Provincial People's Council and a large number of voters from Yen Hoa commune.

Ms. Pham Thi Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, announced the list of 8 candidates in the Provincial People's Council electoral unit No. 3.

At the conference, delegates and voters heard the announcement of the list and biographies of 8 candidates for the 19th term of the Provincial People's Council in electoral unit No. 3 (comprising the communes of Cam Lac, Cam Trung, Cam Hung, Cam Xuyen, Thien Cam, and Yen Hoa). The candidates then presented their proposed action programs if elected by the voters.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Hong Linh, presented the action program.

Presenting the action plan, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Hong Linh, affirmed that serving the people is a constant responsibility, regardless of one's position. If entrusted with the responsibility, he will uphold the spirit of responsibility of an elected representative; listen to and respect the opinions of voters; practice what he preaches; be open and transparent in fulfilling commitments; and ensure that all decisions are geared towards sustainable development and improving the lives of the people.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hong Linh also emphasized the need to continue cultivating political qualities and fortitude; strengthening contact and dialogue with voters; and monitoring and urging the resolution of petitions. At the same time, he stressed the importance of working with the provincial leadership to concretize the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress; striving to achieve an economic growth target of 10% or more; promoting administrative reform and building a service-oriented administration; and paying attention to the comprehensive development of socio-cultural fields.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, Truong Thanh Huyen, presented the action plan.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, Head of the Economic and Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, presented the action program.

Nguyen Ba Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Thien Cam commune, presented the action program.

Deputy Head of the National Assembly Affairs Department, Office of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and People's Council, Tran Huu Quy, presented the action program.

Regarding the electoral district, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hong Linh pledged to maintain close contact with the Party committee, government, and people; to work alongside the locality to resolve difficulties and obstacles; and to pay attention to people's livelihoods.

Other candidates also expressed their honor at being nominated; pledging that if elected, they would fully fulfill their role as elected representatives; maintain close contact with voters; strengthen engagement and truthfully reflect the opinions and suggestions of the people; focus on sustainable socio-economic development and ensure social security; promote administrative reform and digital transformation; strengthen supervision of policy implementation, and prevent corruption and waste.

Speaking at the conference, voters in Yen Hoa commune highly appreciated the serious preparation and sense of responsibility of the candidates; and at the same time, hoped that the commitments to action would be concretized through practical deeds, meeting the expectations of the people.

On behalf of the candidates, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Hong Linh, expressed gratitude for the heartfelt and responsible opinions of the voters. He affirmed that these opinions and suggestions are an important basis for the People's Council representatives to consider and propose during the process of deciding on policies and strategies for local development. Issues beyond their authority will be compiled, forwarded to relevant agencies for resolution, and monitored and supervised in accordance with regulations.
