Cam Khe overcomes consequences after flood

Currently, the flood water on Thao River has receded, forces such as Police, Military , Militia, Medical Center and flood-affected people in communes and towns of Cam Khe district are focusing on cleaning up houses and the environment to stabilize their lives.

Cam Khe town is a place that has been severely damaged by the impact of floods. According to statistics, more than 100 houses were flooded, causing damage to many properties and agricultural areas. Currently, wherever the floodwaters recede, the authorities and people are focusing on cleaning up houses, removing mud, and cleaning the environment.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Trinh - Resident of Van Phu 3 area, Cam Khe town shared: "My family's house was flooded up to the roof. Now the water has receded, and the forces and departments of the district and town have come to support us, helping us stabilize our lives and overcome difficulties."

Mr. Nguyen Viet Duong - Party Cell Secretary, Head of Van Phu 3 area informed: "After the flood receded, the army and police forces of Cam Khe town as well as Cam Khe district, together with the local 4th force and the people organized cleaning and dredging mud out of the area to ensure a return to normal life".

In Minh Tan commune, the water has partially receded, in Dinh Tho Khoi area the water has not receded yet, the police, military and medical center forces are continuing to help the people.

Mr. Trinh Hai Dong - Deputy Director of the District Health Center said: "When the water started to recede, the Center sent mobile teams directly to each household with the Health Station to handle the environment, instructing households from handling mud to handling waste, dead animals and poultry in the area. The Health Center provided medicine, materials, disinfectants and chemicals for households to handle the environment after the water receded."

According to statistics, the whole district has 786 households affected by the rising flood water of Thao River causing flooding, of which 490 households had to evacuate people and property, along with nearly 100 hectares of rice and crops. Currently, the flood water has receded, Cam Khe district has mobilized more than 500 people including the police, military, militia, medical center, authorities and people of Cam Khe town, Minh Tan commune, Tuy Loc... to help people stabilize their lives after the flood.
