Can Tho - Ca Mau Expressway races to the finish line.

The Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway project has a main route length of 110.85 km (64.25 km through Can Tho city, 17 km through An Giang province, 29.6 km through Ca Mau province, and 25.85 km connecting route). The project is divided into two sub-projects: the Can Tho - Hau Giang section and the Hau Giang - Ca Mau section. Currently, the construction unit is mobilizing manpower and equipment to accelerate construction in order to complete the main route before December 19, 2025.

According to contractors, construction units on the Can Tho - Ca Mau Expressway project are focusing on completing the remaining traffic safety items, such as road marking, installing guardrails and traffic signs. Nguyen Thanh Vinh, Deputy Director of Truong Son Nam Construction Group (Truong Son Construction Corporation), stated that the unit's contract, covering a length of 20 km, had basically completed over 99.5% of the main route by December 8, 2025. The remaining 0.05%, covering approximately 10 km, will be completed before the entire route is finished.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh, more than two months prior, the unit had mobilized nearly 100 workers and 20 machines and equipment to work day and night to meet the set schedule. From now until December 19, 2025, the unit will conduct a review and inspection of the quality of the construction along the entire route within the completed contract package, in order to promptly address any areas that do not meet the requirements.

Nguyen Van Dat, a technical officer of the Southern Truong Son Project Management Board, also stated that, with the spirit of "Speed and Decisive Victory," the workers of the Southern Truong Son Project Management Board have been working diligently for nearly two months to bring the project's components to completion on schedule. In addition, the unit always prioritizes the quality of the construction work alongside the schedule, so besides construction, the unit's technical staff regularly inspects the quality of the work to ensure the best possible results.

According to Mr. Tran Quang Duy, a technical specialist at the My Thuan Project Management Board, component project 1, the Can Tho - Hau Giang section, with a length of 37.95 km, has basically completed the main route construction. The unit is currently aggressively implementing the construction of some traffic safety items and crushed stone base in some short sections, and is committed to completing the main route before December 19, 2025. As for component project 2, the Hau Giang - Ca Mau section, there are currently 3 construction packages focusing on construction, and to date, the main route construction has been basically completed, reaching nearly 90%.

According to Mr. Tran Van Thi, Director of the My Thuan Project Management Board, the construction units are currently focusing on 1,150 machines and equipment, 2,100 workers, and organizing construction in 3 shifts and 4 teams with the highest determination to complete the project on schedule. To date, approximately 94% of the main route construction volume has been achieved. Items requiring focus in the coming days include: completing the crushed stone base course before December 14, 2025; completing the asphalt concrete and bridge sections before December 17, 2025; and completing the traffic safety system before December 18, 2025.

Currently, the contractor is focusing intensely on deploying construction teams for the remaining items. Besides accelerating the construction progress, the management board is also strengthening quality control to ensure the project is put into operation efficiently and sustainably.
