According to the contractors, the construction unit at the Can Tho - Ca Mau Expressway construction site is focusing on implementing the remaining traffic safety items, such as road markings, installing corrugated iron sheets and signs. Deputy Director of Truong Son Nam Board (Truong Son Construction Corporation) Nguyen Thanh Vinh said that the construction unit's bid package with a length of 20 km, by December 8, 2025, had basically completed over 99.5% of the work volume on the main route, the remaining 0.05% of road markings with a length of about more than 10 km will complete the entire route.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh, more than 2 months ago, the unit had gathered nearly 100 workers, 20 machines and construction equipment to work day and night to meet the set schedule. From now until December 19, 2025, the unit will review and inspect the quality of the works along the entire route in the completed package, in order to promptly handle areas that do not meet the requirements.
Technical Officer of Truong Son Nam Department Nguyen Van Dat also said that with the spirit of "Speed - Victory", the workers of Truong Son Nam Department have been working hard for nearly 2 months to complete the items of the package on schedule. In addition, the unit also always determines that the quality of the project must go hand in hand with the progress, so in addition to construction, the technical staff of the unit regularly checks the quality of the project to ensure the best quality.
According to Mr. Tran Quang Duy, technical expert of My Thuan Project Management Board, the project component 1 of the Can Tho - Hau Giang section with a length of 37.95 km has basically completed the main route construction volume. The unit is vigorously implementing the construction of a number of traffic safety items, crushed stone grading in some short sections and the unit ensures the completion of the main route before December 19, 2025. As for component 2 of the Hau Giang - Ca Mau section, there are currently 3 bid packages under construction, and to date, nearly 90% of the main route construction volume has been basically completed.
Mr. Tran Van Thi - Director of My Thuan Project Management Board, currently the construction units are concentrating on 1,150 machines and equipment, 2,100 workers, focusing on organizing 3 shifts, 4 teams with the highest determination to complete the project on schedule, up to now reaching about 94% of the main route construction volume. The items that need to be focused on in the coming days are: crushed stone construction work to be completed before December 14, 2025, asphalt concrete construction and bridge construction to be completed before December 17, 2025 and traffic safety system construction to be completed for all items before December 18, 2025.
Currently, the contractor is focusing on implementing the remaining construction projects. In addition to speeding up the construction progress, the board also strengthens the inspection of construction quality to ensure the project is put into operation effectively and sustainably.
