Regarding the licensing of earthworks for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project section passing through Dong Nai province, the Provincial People's Committee has granted permission to the contractor to excavate earthworks at one location: Tam Phuoc ward, Bien Hoa city, with a reserve of approximately 200,000 m3.

The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway is facing a shortage of fill material.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, contractors are continuing to review other locations to request additions to the project dossier and apply for mining permits under a special mechanism.

According to calculations, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway requires more than 5.4 million m3 of embankment soil. Of this, component project 1 needs nearly 2.3 million m3, and component project 2 needs more than 3.1 million m3.

Many locations have cleared land but construction is still proceeding slowly. Therefore, the Project Management Board hopes that the leaders of Dong Nai province will soon approve other land locations for the exploitation of materials to serve the expressway project.
