THADICO announced that since the beginning of December, it has been implementing phase 1 of the investment in indirect artistic lighting for the cable-stayed bridges, towers, and both sides of the bridge spans; expected to be completed by New Year's Day 2025.

"Upon completion, the Ba Son Bridge will combine with Nguyen Hue pedestrian street and Bach Dang park, creating a nighttime highlight for the Saigon River and a tourist attraction for visitors and city residents," THADICO emphasized.

In phase 2, Ho Chi Minh City will allocate funds to invest in and complete all artistic lighting items, including installing LED lights on the outer surface of the cable-stayed bridge to create dynamic effects that change according to the architectural theme or important events.

The Ba Son Bridge (also known as Thu Thiem 2 Bridge), connecting District 1 with the Thu Thiem urban area (Thu Duc City), was put into operation in April 2022.

The bridge is nearly 1.5km long with 6 lanes, the bridge section itself is 885m long, and it boasts a unique "two-plane cable-stayed" design with 113m high towers shaped like dragon heads, positioned off-center towards Thu Thiem, creating an impressive landmark along the Saigon River.
