This year's conference marks a special milestone in JASSO's history. This is the 21st time the event has been organized by JASSO and also the 18th time the Japan Education Conference has been held in Vietnam.

With its wealth of experience in organizing events, this year's event continues to provide valuable information and important networking opportunities for attendees.

In his opening remarks at the seminar, Mr. Yoshioka Tomoya, President of JASSO, shared: "Studying in Japan has become a familiar career path for everyone."

Simultaneously, the need for accurate and relevant information for those aspiring to study in Japan is increasing. We hope that today's seminar will be a very meaningful opportunity, helping students get closer to their dream of studying in Japan."

In her speech, Associate Professor Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy, President of VAJA, also emphasized: "Our ancestors have a saying, 'Traveling a day's journey teaches a basketful of wisdom.' Studying in developed countries, such as Japan, will help young people gain a broader and more far-sighted perspective, and develop their abilities more comprehensively."

Ms. Thuy believes that four main factors make Japan an ideal study destination: top-quality education, numerous job opportunities after graduation, a unique culture, and reasonable tuition fees.

Currently, Vietnam ranks third in the world in the number of international students in Japan, after China and Nepal, and Ms. Thuy also predicts that this number will continue to increase.

Japan Study Abroad Seminar 2024: A Bridge for Educational and Cultural Development

Dr. Nguyen To Chung, Vice Rector of Phenikaa University :

As someone working in the field of education, I have witnessed the growing cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in this area, especially in the exchange and learning activities of students. I believe that educational exchange and cooperation play a crucial role in promoting collaboration between the two countries, helping both countries train a high-quality international workforce to serve the development of both nations.

I myself have had the opportunity to study in Japan and have returned to Japan for work many times. I am very impressed with the quality of education, as well as the environment and facilities for education in Japan. I think that Japan is an attractive and high-quality destination for students who wish to study abroad, especially in the context of the Japanese government's current efforts to attract and support foreign students.

Attending the event, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam ITO Naoki stated that currently, there are approximately 280,000 international students studying in Japan. The Japanese government is striving to increase this number to 400,000 students by 2033.

The ambassador affirmed that this seminar is one of Japan's efforts to promote the attractiveness of its education system, and expressed the hope that more Vietnamese students will come to Japan to study in the future.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Binh, Chairman of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association, and former Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan, also expressed his hope that in the future, more young Vietnamese people will choose Japan to learn and experience.

According to him, each Vietnamese student studying in Japan is not only someone who acquires knowledge, but also a cultural ambassador, bringing the image of Vietnam and its people closer to international friends.

The seminar brought together nearly 50 universities, colleges, vocational schools, Japanese language schools, and other Japanese educational organizations.

Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss scholarships, English-language programs, the Japanese University Entrance Examination (EJU), and valuable scholarship opportunities such as the Japan Government Scholarship (MEXT) and the JASSO Scholarship directly with school representatives.

In addition, they can also participate in thematic presentations such as "Overview of Studying in Japan," "Scholarships for Studying in Japan," and "Sharing Experiences of Studying in Japan."

The Japan Study Abroad Seminar 2024 not only offers educational opportunities but also connects the dreams and aspirations of young Vietnamese people who want to reach out to the world.

With the strong development of cooperative relations between Vietnam and Japan, along with the Japanese government's policies supporting international students, studying in Japan is becoming a promising choice for the future of many young people.

Mr. Nghiem Vu Khai, Honorary Chairman of VAJA:

Since its establishment, VAJA has organized many meaningful activities, making positive contributions to cooperation between the two countries. I am honored to be one of the founding members of the Club and served as its President from 2001 to 2004. Currently, I hold the position of Honorary President of the Club.

As individuals who have studied in Japan and experienced its advanced education system, we are always eager to support outstanding Vietnamese students in having the opportunity to study in Japan, while also acting as a bridge to promote educational cooperation between the two countries.

We hope to continue working closely with JASSO, universities, and educational institutions in both Japan and Vietnam in educational cooperation activities and promoting studying in Japan.
