From discounted sales points to free health screenings, trade unions at all levels in the city are implementing practical welfare models in many localities to comprehensively care for their members, contributing to building a safe and sustainable working environment.

Increase benefits for union members.

After more than half a month of operation, the "Union Member Welfare Sales Point" at the Full-Market 24/7 supermarket system (Ngu Hanh Son ward) has become a reliable shopping destination for a large number of workers. This model was launched in mid-May 2026 by the ward's Trade Union in coordination with Duc Nguyen Investment and Development Co., Ltd. Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Chairman of the Ngu Hanh Son Ward Trade Union, said that the locality currently has more than 7,000 union members, mainly working in the tourism service sector.

In order to improve welfare, the ward's Trade Union has implemented many practical activities, most notably the model of discounted retail outlets to help union members access quality essential goods at reasonable prices.

On this occasion, the ward's Trade Union also presented 100 shopping vouchers (worth 500,000 VND each) to union members in difficult circumstances. At the same time, Duc Nguyen Company provided an additional 20% of the voucher value and gave 200 discount vouchers offering 15% off to employees when shopping at their supermarket chain.

Besides caring for the material well-being of workers, trade unions at all levels also pay special attention to protecting the health of workers through long-term welfare programs. Recently, the Cam Le Ward Trade Union organized a "Workers' Health Day" for female officials, union members, and employees.

Notably, the Cam Le Ward Trade Union has signed a cooperation agreement with Medlatec Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Tam Tri Da Nang General Hospital to expand the healthcare network in the future. This activity helps union members easily access modern medical services, thereby improving their quality of life and creating motivation for workers to feel secure in their work and remain committed to their agencies and businesses in the long term.

Promoting a culture of workplace safety.

Alongside social welfare activities, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene is identified as a key task in building a healthy and sustainably developing workforce.

Recently, the Hoa Xuan Ward Trade Union launched a pilot model of "Workplace Safety Culture" at Phat Long Phuoc Joint Stock Company. The model aims for 100% of employees to receive training in occupational safety and hygiene, be fully equipped with protective gear, and strictly adhere to safe working procedures.

According to Mr. Le Cong Dong, Vice Chairman of the Hoa Xuan Ward People's Committee, building a safety culture is not only about complying with legal regulations but also about fostering self-awareness and responsibility in each individual, in order to maximize the protection of the health and lives of workers.

A highlight of the model is the synchronized participation of local authorities, businesses, trade unions, and relevant agencies. The core objective is to integrate safety standards, labor discipline, and fire prevention into regular production activities. This will enhance workers' responsibility in using protective equipment, operating equipment correctly, and contributing to a green, clean, beautiful, and efficient working environment.

According to representatives of the City Federation of Labor, through practical models and diverse welfare programs, trade unions at all levels continue to affirm their position as a reliable support for workers. These efforts not only create a safe and healthy working environment but also provide a solid foundation for union members to confidently dedicate themselves and contribute to the overall development of the city.
