On their journey to knowledge, many students face numerous difficulties, but the support from the community has given them more confidence and motivation to continue pursuing their dream of going to school. With its profound humanitarian significance, the "VNPT - Fulfilling Dreams" program has become a pillar of support, helping hundreds of underprivileged students in Thai Nguyen province overcome difficulties.

Born into a poor family, with her father seriously ill and her mother frail and struggling to raise three sisters alone, Diep Thi Bao Trang, a student at Tan Loi Secondary School in Trai Cau commune, did not give up. Overcoming her circumstances, Trang studied diligently and achieved high academic results. For many consecutive years, she earned the title of excellent student.

In particular, last school year, she excelled and won third prize in the provincial-level student excellence competition in Civic Education . Not only is she academically gifted, Trang is also very well-behaved and loving towards her mother. After school each day, she always tries to help her mother with household chores and take care of her younger sibling.

To further motivate Trang, the "VNPT - Fulfilling Dreams" program awarded her a scholarship worth 5 million VND. Sharing her joy with us, Diep Thi Bao Trang said: "This scholarship not only has material value but is also a very meaningful source of encouragement for me and my family before the new school year. I will continue to try my best and work hard to become a lawyer and contribute to society."

Ma Thi Nu, a student at Dai Tu Ethnic Minority Boarding Junior High School, also faces the pain of losing her mother at a young age, her father is visually impaired, and both Nu and her younger sister suffer from thalassemia. Her grandparents are elderly, frail, and ill, no longer able to work.

Nevertheless, Nụ persevered and strived to attend school. Not only was she diligent and academically excellent, but she also actively participated in extracurricular activities and was loved by her friends and teachers. The 5 million VND scholarship from the "VNPT - Fulfilling Dreams" program not only helped Nụ overcome difficulties but also ignited a flame of hope, enabling her to confidently move forward on her journey…

Organized annually since 2013, the "VNPT - Fulfilling Dreams" program is jointly implemented by VNPT Thai Nguyen, Thai Nguyen Newspaper, Radio and Television, and the Department of Education and Training. Its aim is to share the immediate difficulties faced by disadvantaged students and encourage them to strive for academic excellence.

For over 10 years, the program has supported hundreds of underprivileged students in the province. In the 2024-2025 school year alone, 11 scholarships and 55 gifts were presented to underprivileged students, providing them with the necessary support to confidently enter the new school year.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thinh, Deputy Director of the Thai Nguyen Department of Education and Training, assessed: "Not only does it provide scholarships, but the 'VNPT - Fulfilling Dreams' program also instills in the hearts of poor students faith, determination, and aspirations to rise above their circumstances, 'giving wings' to realize their dreams and ambitions. From there, they can become useful members of society, contributing to the development of their homeland and country."
