At approximately 5:30 AM on January 19th, residents discovered a fire breaking out at Binh Hiep Market, located in Lien Nam hamlet, Lien Tri village, Dong Son commune, Quang Ngai province, and quickly reported it to the authorities.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Department of Quang Ngai province dispatched 4 fire trucks and 29 officers and soldiers to the scene to organize firefighting efforts.
By approximately 6:45 AM the same day, the fire was brought under control and completely extinguished, preventing it from spreading to adjacent kiosks. Initial assessments indicate that two kiosks at Binh Hiep Market were about 50% damaged by the fire, and two others were affected. Local authorities are coordinating with relevant agencies to inspect and assess the damage.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the authorities.
