Most customers ordering flowers prefer bouquets in the mid-price range, around 250,000-500,000 VND per bouquet."

Besides traditional fresh flowers, the flower market also offers many other items such as flower baskets made of succulents, wax flowers, silk flowers, wool flowers, velvet wire flowers, paper flowers, etc., which also attract consumers. Prices are usually more affordable than fresh flowers, ranging from 10,000-15,000 VND per flower, and flower baskets from 150,000-400,000 VND per basket.

While busy arranging flowers to fulfill customer orders, Ms. Pham Huu Tra My, owner of My's House paper flower shop (Ward 4, Vinh Long City), said:

"Paper flowers are much more durable than fresh flowers, the price difference isn't significant, and they are just as beautiful and elegant as real flowers. They come in a wide variety of designs and colors, and customers can order them according to their own ideas."

"This year, customers are ordering flowers earlier than usual. Many orders have been placed in advance; I've been working non-stop but still can't keep up with customer demand."

To diversify their gift offerings, in recent years, many shop owners have also started creating flower baskets combined with fruits, offering a wide variety of designs and types, from domestic to imported fruits.

According to many shop owners, consumer shopping habits are also changing, prioritizing green, sustainable, environmentally friendly, practical, and useful products, avoiding waste on products that don't last long. Therefore, fruit baskets are a preferred choice because they are not just ordinary gifts, but also provide nutritional value to the recipient.

The owner of a fruit shop in Ward 3 (Vinh Long City) said: "Typically, customers choose baskets priced from 350,000 to 600,000 VND, which include fruits like grapes, strawberries, and cantaloupe, along with simple fresh flower decorations. Fruit and flower baskets priced from 700,000 to 1.5 million VND will include imported fruits and flowers such as kiwi, cherries, French apples, and Australian tangerines."

While choosing two fruit baskets priced at 700,000 VND each, Mr. Tran Thanh Huu (Ward 3, Vinh Long City) said: “In previous years, I gave fresh flowers to my mother and wife. This year, I chose fresh flowers arranged with various fruits to create a decorative gift basket that is both beautiful, elegant, and practical.”

Not to be left out, owners of bakeries, cosmetics shops, perfume shops, jewelry shops, clothing shops, handbag shops, watch shops, etc., also have many promotional programs with many new and unique gift designs to attract customers.
