With their full trust and expectations, they yearn for sound policies that unlock resources and provide further impetus for the country to make strong breakthroughs, achieve sustainable development, bring prosperity and happiness to the people, and a bright future for generations to come.

Mr. Dinh Ka Vot, Head of Security and Order Team of Ra Nhua village, Son Tay commune, Quang Ngai province: The Ca Dong people are united, always follow the Party, work together to protect the forest and the village, and build a more peaceful and happy homeland.

From Central Vietnamese villages towards the Party Congress: A shared belief, a shared aspiration.

Son Tay commune in Quang Ngai province is a mountainous area with rugged terrain, making transportation difficult and challenging, especially during the rainy season. The commune has approximately 2,300 households with nearly 8,300 inhabitants, of which the Ca Dong ethnic minority (a branch of the Xo Dang ethnic group) accounts for about three-quarters of the total population. Due to the rugged mountainous terrain and long-standing traditions, the people here live by farming and forestry; their houses are scattered in many places, commonly on plots of land halfway up the hills and mountains.

The entire Son Tay commune has 13 villages, but the most densely populated areas are in the villages of Tan Via, Bai Mau, Huy Mang, Ta Do, Ra Nhua, etc. My house is in Ra Nhua village. The people here mainly live by farming and forestry.

Before the Law on Security and Order Protection Forces at the Grassroots Level was enacted more than a year ago, I served in the commune police force as a part-time police officer. Since 2011, I have been the team leader of the grassroots security and order protection team. Over the past time, I have been entrusted with supporting the village in maintaining security and order. Sharing in the hardships of the police officers, I often set aside my personal affairs to understand the situation, thoughts, and lives of the people; including those who have made mistakes in the past. To best perform my duties, I always closely follow the professional guidance of the commune police leadership. I am very pleased that the commune police force considers me a very responsible person and that I am loved by the people.

Having been involved with the local area for many years, especially with the police force, I have a basic understanding of the overall security situation in the commune, which is generally stable. However, there are still underlying complexities and the emergence of various types of crime such as drug-related offenses, social vices, property theft, and public disorder;…

Over the past few days, watching on television and through the propaganda of the commune's police officers , we learned that the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is taking place. Many strategic policies and decisions are being discussed and agreed upon in the resolutions. Feeling the changes in the country, especially the attention of the Party and State to remote, mountainous, and ethnic minority areas, we feel very reassured and comforted. Thanks to the Party, the State, the police force, and the army, we have roads to travel on, schools to study, health stations, and medicine to treat illnesses; our living and working conditions are becoming increasingly favorable; our houses are more intact; and the number of poor households has decreased significantly...

We believe that, following the successful election of highly talented and virtuous senior leaders at the Congress, the country will continue to develop brilliantly; many national target programs will continue to be implemented. In particular, infrastructure in mountainous areas will continue to receive attention and investment for comprehensive upgrading; public works projects will be more widespread; and the production and living conditions of the people will continue to receive more attention and support…

Mr. Nguyen Xuyen (born in 1925, residing in Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City): The people place their full trust and great expectations in the 14th National Congress.

From Central Vietnamese villages towards the Party Congress: A shared belief, a shared aspiration.

These days, along with people across the country, we – the people of Hue City – are extremely excited and proud of this momentous political event of the nation – the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Following the news in the city, I see that from the city center to the mountainous and coastal areas, the city is filled with the red color of Party flags and national flags, along with banners, slogans, and signs welcoming the 14th Party Congress, carrying messages of faith, aspirations, and national unity.

The 14th National Congress of the Party is a political event of immense significance and historical importance. The draft documents for the Congress were widely circulated among the people, attracting nearly 14 million comments and suggestions, affirming a very high level of consensus between the Party's will and the people's aspirations.

I believe that organizing the collection of feedback from officials, Party members, and all sectors of the population on the draft documents for the 14th Party Congress has become a widespread political activity throughout society.

Through daily news coverage, people are delighted to see that, for the first time in the history of the Party Congress, the Political Report is accompanied by a specific action plan, clearly defining the goals, tasks, roadmap, resources, and responsibilities of each agency and unit, ensuring that the Congress Resolution can be implemented immediately after its adoption.

With innovative thinking, a long-term vision, and strong political determination, the 14th National Congress is expected to make historic decisions, creating a powerful impetus for our country to move strongly into an era of prosperous and thriving development.

Regarding the personnel work of the 14th Party Central Committee, I expect this work to be democratic, objective, cautious, rigorous, and highly unified, in accordance with the Party's principles. A successful Congress is a decisive factor in achieving the goals of national development by 2030, confidently entering a new era of national progress, for peace, independence, democracy, prosperity, civilization, happiness, and steadily advancing towards socialism.

Elder Rah Lan Y Rin (Ma Thoan), Lé B hamlet, Suối Trai commune, Đắk Lắk province: More attention is needed to help ethnic minorities and people in mountainous areas escape poverty sustainably.

I am an Ede ethnic minority; my name is Rah Lan Y Rin, but my neighbors usually call me Ma Thoan. I have been connected to this land for nearly 80 years and have been a Party member for over 40 years (including nearly 30 years as a grassroots official, former Chairman of the People's Committee, Secretary of the Party Branch of Krong Pa commune, representative of the People's Council of Son Hoa district, and member of the Son Hoa District Party Committee, Phu Yen province in the past). Therefore, I am particularly interested in the upcoming 14th National Party Congress in a few days.

Village elder Ma Thoan (center) chats with a reporter from the People's Police Newspaper and police officers from Suoi Trai commune.

Over the years, thanks to the Party and State's attention and investment in socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, specifically the National Target Program Phase 1 (2021-2025) approved by the Prime Minister, the appearance of ethnic minority and mountainous areas has been increasingly transformed, from transportation systems, irrigation canals, clean water, environmental sanitation, cultural, health, and educational facilities, residential housing, to activities supporting agricultural production and sustainable poverty reduction models…

At this National Party Congress, I truly hope that the Party and State will continue to prioritize and allocate resources to the National Target Program Phase 2 (2025-2030), focusing on key areas and linked with various support policies that positively impact the livelihoods of people in the socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous regions, helping them rise out of poverty and achieve sustainable multidimensional poverty reduction. In addition, continued support for preferential social policy credit loans and vocational training is needed to diversify livelihoods, contributing to economic restructuring, and developing and replicating poverty reduction models…

Currently, Suoi Trai commune is home to 19 ethnic groups, the most numerous being the Kinh, followed by the Ede, Cham, Jarai, etc. Each ethnic minority group has its own unique cultural and lifestyle characteristics, reflecting the cultural exchange with other ethnic groups in the Central Highlands. Therefore, in the process of investing in socio-economic development in the locality, I believe it is necessary to focus on preserving and promoting the identity and traditional cultural values of these ethnic groups.

Elder A Lang Nhaih, Avuong commune (Da Nang): The Co Tu people always trust and love the Party, and hope for lasting peace in the country.

The Co Tu people in Avuong commune (Da Nang) in particular, and the Co Tu people living in the Truong Son mountain range in general, have great faith in and love for the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.

From Central Vietnamese villages towards the Party Congress: A shared belief, a shared aspiration.
Elder Alăng Nháih spoke with a reporter from the People's Police Newspaper and police officers from Avương commune about his expectations for the 14th National Congress of the Party.

In Atep village, Avuong commune, after the heavy rains, floods, and landslides in late October and November 2025, dozens of houses were damaged or completely collapsed. Thanks to the attention of the Party and the State through the "Quang Trung Campaign," which swiftly supported the repair and reconstruction of houses for the people, 11 houses have been newly built and 16 houses have been renovated to a decent standard. The revival of Atep village after the natural disaster is the most vivid proof of the spirit of "respecting the people, being close to the people" that our Party always cultivates. The people here are very grateful for the timely attention of the Party and the State.

Through this 14th National Congress of the Party, I hope our village will develop better. Economically, it's not enough to just have rice, cassava, and corn for everyone to eat, but people should also learn to raise cows, pigs, goats, chickens, and ducks in new ways, with cadres guiding them step by step so they can not only escape poverty but also become wealthy.

Culturally, we hope the government will provide support so that the language, the Tung Tung - Da Da dance, and the gong music of the Co Tu people do not fade away. We must give the children literacy, but we must also teach them to be grateful for their roots and for the forest.

In particular, regarding security and order, the old man hopes that the village will always be as peaceful as a flowing stream. He hopes the young people will not drink alcohol or use drugs; and will not listen to the bad advice of strangers. He will set an example alongside the elders, working with the border guards to protect every inch of their homeland, and with the police to safeguard the peace for the villagers, so that the village and commune will forever remain a strong bulwark of the Fatherland.
