Besides being a modern mode of transportation, Metro Line 1 has also become a new destination for people in Ho Chi Minh City. However, alongside the beautiful images, there are still instances of inappropriate photography.

The operating unit stated that its staff have recently witnessed many instances of inappropriate behavior while using the metro - Image taken from a video clip.

After more than two months of operation, Metro Line 1 (the first electric train line in Ho Chi Minh City) has received widespread support from the public. People use the metro to go to work, go to school... and even take記念 photos on the train to post on social media.

However, alongside the beautiful photos, there are also many cases of inappropriate photography that violate safety regulations and negatively impact the overall passenger experience.

"Some people even undressed to take photos right inside the station, which is offensive and negatively impacts the civilized image of the metro," a representative of the operating unit said.

According to the Metro Line 1 One-Member Limited Liability Company (HURC1 - the operating unit), the company encourages everyone to capture beautiful moments with Metro Line 1, but they must comply with regulations. Tripods are not allowed, flash photography is prohibited, and professional or commercial photography requires prior contact.

It is especially important to avoid standing in dangerous positions such as right next to the platform barrier or in the middle of the walkway during peak hours. It is strictly prohibited to activate the emergency button on escalators to take photos.

"Station staff have a responsibility to remind passengers, but their resources are limited, and they cannot control every single passenger. The most important thing is still each individual's awareness," the representative added.

In addition, the operating unit has recently noted that some passengers still lack the habit of maintaining general hygiene. Bringing food and drinks onto the train, spilling them, and leaving trash behind have occurred.

Some passengers even bring pets in their backpacks and then release them when entering the station, causing inconvenience to those around them.

Besides hygiene issues, many passengers also block the entrances and exits, prolonging the time it takes for the train doors to open and close, causing delays to many trains.

Mr. Phan Cong Bang, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board, said that Metro Line 1 operates automatically, but if passengers enter and exit too slowly or block the way, the doors cannot close, affecting the schedule of the entire trip.

The unsanitary conditions on board the ship have also been repeatedly reported by the operating staff.

"Currently, we are also increasing the frequency of cleaning and promoting the message of not bringing food and drinks onto the train. Metro Line 1 has a large carrying capacity, but the number of cleaning staff is limited and insufficient. Therefore, the cooperation of the people and coordination between both sides are necessary to create a clean and smart urban railway," Mr. Bang said.

Add more seats at metro station number 1.

To improve service quality, Metro Line 1 recently added more waiting seats at its stations, providing passengers with more comfortable space to rest.

At the same time, the metro system has been adding green amenities such as phone charging stations and information display screens, creating the most convenient conditions for passengers.

After more than a month of official operation (since December 22, 2024), Metro Line 1 has received much positive feedback from people in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces. The number of metro passengers is increasing, especially during the recent Lunar New Year holiday.
