On the afternoon of May 13th, Hanoi FC's official website confirmed that they had reached an agreement to sign midfielder Hendrio on a three-season contract.
Hendrio Araujo da Silva was born in 1994 in Brazil and rose through the ranks of La Masia (Barcelona, Spain) youth academy.
After many years playing football in Spain and Portugal, Hendrio joined the V-League in early 2021, playing for Binh Dinh Club, and then moved to Nam Dinh Club in early 2023.
At Nam Dinh Club, Hendrio and Nguyen Xuan Son (Rafaelson) formed a formidable strike partnership, contributing to the team's V-League championship win in the 2023-2024 season.
By the middle of the 2024-2025 season, Hendrio left the Nam Dinh team because he was no longer part of the team's development plans.
According to statistics from Transfermarkt, since arriving in Vietnam, Hendrio has made a total of 93 appearances, scoring 29 goals and providing 31 assists in the V-League and the National Cup.
Hanoi FC hopes Hendrio will increase the creativity and unpredictability of their attack in the 2025-2026 season. The capital city team also promises to support Hendrio in the process of obtaining Vietnamese citizenship as he realizes his dream of playing for the national team.
