CLIP: Jacaranda trees bloom profusely throughout the streets of Da Lat.

Every year, from March to April, hundreds of jacaranda trees along the central streets of Da Lat bloom profusely.

Among them, the most evenly and beautifully blooming are the dozens of trees planted along Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street - in front of Da Lat market. Besides cherry blossoms, jacaranda trees have also become a familiar annual flower season for the people of this highland region.

Jacaranda Acutifolia, also known as the purple jacaranda, belongs to the Bignoniaceae family. Originally from the Americas, it was brought to Vietnam in 1962 by Mr. Luong Van Sau, an agricultural engineer who graduated in France.

Thanks to its suitability to Da Lat's climate and soil, the jacaranda tree has gradually been propagated along many other roads and has become a poetic flower season in Da Lat after each Lunar New Year.

Currently, other roads also have many beautiful jacaranda trees, such as around Hoang Van Thu Lake (pictured), Nguyen Van Cu Street, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street, the cable car station on Robin Hill, and the grounds of the Trade Union Hotel.

The ancient jacaranda tree in front of Da Lat market is considered one of the first four jacaranda trees planted in the city in 1962. To this day, the tree remains healthy, "dyeing" a corner of Da Lat market purple every year.

A jacaranda tree in Tran Hung Dao Park – near the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee building – is also in its most vibrant bloom, seemingly enticing passersby to stop and admire the flowers.

The corner of the Cong Doan Hotel grounds facing Yersin Street is planted with many jacaranda trees. When the flowers fall, this corner of the courtyard looks like it's covered in a purple carpet. Mr. Vo Kiem, a long-time resident of Da Lat, shared that when the jacarandas bloom, they don't cause the same excitement as the cherry blossoms during Tet (Lunar New Year), but rather a quiet, heartfelt sight for those who love this misty land .

Equally famous as the jacaranda trees at the trade union hotel is the ancient jacaranda tree near the Da Lat Cable Car station on Robin Hill. Its vibrant blossoms, combined with the panoramic views of downtown Da Lat and the unique architecture of the recently erected television tower, create a striking attraction for tourists.

Every day, hundreds of locals and tourists come to take photos and check in with the jacaranda tree on Robin Hill.

International tourists are also excited to experience Da Lat's jacaranda blossom season for the first time.

Along every road, jacaranda trees seem to not only make the houses and street corners more charming but also contribute to Da Lat's reputation as the city of a thousand flowers.
