Shareholders sue company over small portions

According to CNN , the plaintiffs accuse the fast food chain specializing in Mexican food of underestimating customer dissatisfaction.

The shareholder cited widespread anti-Chipotle backlash on social media from the spring and summer of 2024, with celebrities complaining about the “highly inconsistent” size of dishes.

The plaintiff alleges that the defendants’ wrongful conduct and the sharp decline in the company’s stock price have caused significant losses to shareholders. The plaintiff seeks an undisclosed amount of damages and compensation for anyone who bought or sold Chipotle stock between February 8 and October 29. Chipotle did not comment on the lawsuit.
