CLB Khánh Hòa quyết tâm vượt qua khó khăn để góp mặt tại giải hạng nhất 2024 - 2025

Khanh Hoa FC is determined to overcome difficulties and qualify for the First Division in the 2024-2025 season.

As Thanh Nien Newspaper reported, Khanh Hoa Club received a decision from FIFA banning them from registering new players due to delayed payment of $26,000 to foreign player Mamadou Guirassy.

On August 12th, the coastal team sent a letter to the VFF and FIFA explaining the incident, including the April 5th notice to player Mamadou Guirassy requesting payment of $29,000 (approximately 650 million VND) as an early termination fee equivalent to 3 months' salary, plus 50% of the transfer fee in 3 installments, but this was not agreed upon.

It should also be added that at that time, objective difficulties arose when the tax authorities were forcibly freezing the accounts of Khanh Hoa Sport Joint Stock Company, the managing entity of Khanh Hoa Club, from March 15th to June 25th, because the former sponsor had outstanding tax debts from the 2023 season, preventing the team from paying player Mamadou the 650 million VND (the deadline set by FIFA was April 16th at the latest).

Coach Tran Trong Binh will be planning the squad for next season.

After the account was reopened on June 25th, Khanh Hoa Sport Joint Stock Company disbursed three months' salary, equivalent to $19,500, to Mamadou, before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on July 2nd ordered compensation of €26,000 (equivalent to $27,900), including 5% interest.

The leaders of Khanh Hoa Sport Joint Stock Company explained that the team still owes Mamadou $8,400, but because his visa expired on May 25th, the bank cannot, in principle, pay the remaining amount.

Reportedly, through good faith negotiations, both parties agreed to waive the 5% interest and quickly extend Mamadou's visa, after which they would immediately transfer his remaining salary of $6,500 USD.

Bóng đá Khánh Hòa sẽ cố gắng bám trụ tại giải chuyên nghiệp

Khánh Hòa football team will try to remain in the professional league.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, General Director of Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest State-owned Company Limited, said: "All parties are aware of the objective difficulties and are working towards a goodwill solution. As soon as Mamadou completes the visa extension, the bank will disburse all the remaining funds."

At the same time, Mr. Hai affirmed that Khanh Hoa Club would not withdraw from the First Division: "We will certainly not withdraw from the league for any reason. Hopefully, after Khanh Hoa Club's explanation, FIFA will lift the disciplinary penalty banning the registration of players."

Despite facing financial difficulties over the past period, those involved in Khánh Hòa football are making efforts to mobilize businesses to contribute so that the team from the coastal city can participate in the First Division in the 2024-2025 season, as directed by the People's Committee and the Department of Culture and Sports of Khánh Hòa province.
