Opening direct flight routes - a strategic bridge.
Belavia Belarusian Airlines operates this route using wide-body A330-200 aircraft with a capacity of 281 passengers, with a frequency of 3 flights per week starting from March 20th. This is the airline's first regular commercial route in Vietnam. Prior to this, at the end of 2025, Belavia Belarusian Airlines organized several charter flights bringing Belarusian tourists to Phu Quoc.

The Minsk-Cam Ranh flight route is one of the initiatives implementing the agreements reached at the meeting between President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and General Secretary To Lam in Minsk on May 12, 2025; contributing to promoting the strategic partnership between the two countries in various fields.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou emphasized that this event opens a new chapter in Belarus-Vietnam relations. The regular flight route will promote political dialogue, economic cooperation, and expand exchanges in the fields of culture, tourism, science, and education... "Along with Phu Quoc, more and more Belarusians are discovering Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, a jewel of Vietnam with its unique nature and rich cultural heritage. Thanks to the developed domestic air network, Khanh Hoa will become a convenient transit point for Belarusian tourists traveling to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and other tourist centers. At the same time, the direct flight also opens opportunities for Vietnamese tourists to explore Belarus," Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou shared.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ha affirmed that the Minsk - Cam Ranh flight route is proof of the trust of international partners in the investment and business environment and tourism potential of Khanh Hoa. The province is committed to creating all favorable conditions to ensure the flight route is maintained stably and developed effectively, thereby strengthening people-to-people exchanges and promoting comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Ms. Radzisheuskaya Katsiayna stated that, from the outset, the route was planned to operate three flights per week, indicating very high demand for this service. Regular flights not only facilitate convenient travel for passengers but also promote business relationships, develop logistics, and contribute to increased investment and bilateral trade.
Contributing to the diversification of international tourist sources.
At exactly 3 PM on March 20th, flight B2795, carrying 272 passengers, took off from Minsk International Airport and landed safely at Cam Ranh International Airport. The aircraft was greeted with a water cannon salute – a solemn traditional aviation ceremony for journeys of special significance. Leaders of Khanh Hoa province, the Ambassador of Belarus to Vietnam, and representatives from various agencies, units, and localities were present at the aircraft door to present flowers, souvenirs, and welcome the first passengers.

Inside the arrival hall of Terminal 2 of the International Airport, visitors enjoyed traditional cultural performances and received souvenirs characteristic of Khanh Hoa province. Passenger Natalia from Minsk couldn't hide her joy: "I've wanted to visit Vietnam for a long time, so when a direct flight became available, I booked a seat immediately. I was very surprised by the warm welcome. Your friendliness makes me even more eager to explore the life and beautiful scenery here."
According to the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of Belarusian tourists visiting Khanh Hoa has grown strongly in recent years: 3,244 in 2024, increasing to 8,861 in 2025 (an increase of approximately 173%). Notably, in just the first two months of 2026, Khanh Hoa welcomed 2,146 Belarusian tourists. With the official launch of regular flights, this number is expected to continue to grow strongly, contributing to diversifying the source of international tourists and promoting the sustainable development of the tourism industry in Khanh Hoa. “Belarus has a population of approximately 8.95 million people; its GDP per capita is over $8,300 per year. We have long strived to attract Belarusian tourists. The opening of a direct flight route from Minsk to Khanh Hoa by Belavia Belarusian Airlines will create opportunities for Khanh Hoa tourism to tap into the Belarusian market. Belarusian tourists have similar preferences and tastes to Russian tourists. After the direct flight is launched, the number of Belarusian tourists will grow strongly, contributing to supplementing the local international tourist source,” said Ms. Do Thi Hang, Director of Amega General Trading and Tourism Company Limited.
