The 2025 admissions season continues to see many new programs and majors that higher education institutions plan to open to meet practical needs and attract students.

While awaiting the Ministry of Education and Training's announcement of the 2025 university admissions regulations, many universities have already made planned adjustments to their admissions plans. These include opening new programs and majors, and increasing the number of admission combinations to align with the 2018 General Education Program.

The University of Commerce has issued its official admissions plan for 2025. A new feature this year is that the university will no longer consider academic results from students of specialized high schools or national key high schools for admissions. Other admission methods remain unchanged, with only technical adjustments.

2025 marks the first year that high school students will take the high school graduation exam under the 2018 General Education Program, which includes many changes to the exam content, leading to certain changes in the university and college admissions process. Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, stated that this year many universities have changed their admission subject combinations, so the Ministry of Education and Training's admissions regulations are also more flexible.

According to Mr. Son, these changes aim to create the best conditions for students, building a fairer, more transparent, and more favorable environment during the examination and admission process.
