On November 12th, Louis made an impressive debut for the Czech Republic U19 team with a hat-trick against Azerbaijan U19, playing a major role in helping his team win 6-1 in the European U19 qualifiers.
The match against Azerbaijan U19 marked a perfect start for the young striker. Not only did Louis complete a hat-trick, but he also contributed an assist, helping Czech U19 win convincingly and maintain their leading position in the group.
Before shining at the youth national team level, Louis had already impressed at the Pisa academy with 8 goals last season for the U19 team. This season, he even made his Serie A debut, showing great potential to become a future star of Italian football.
Notably, the person who gave Louis the opportunity at Pisa was coach Pippo Inzaghi – a 2006 World Cup champion and also a former teammate of Buffon.
Despite being an Italian national, Louis decided to represent the Czech Republic – his mother's homeland – starting in February of this year. This decision was supported by Buffon.
"My father advised me to choose the Czech Republic because we both thought it was the best option for my career," Louis shared in a recent interview.
According to FIFA rules, Louis can still change his team selection in the future if he hasn't played an official match for the Czech Republic national team.
