Nearly 1,000 officers and soldiers provided security for the exam.
On June 8th, Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Manh, Deputy Head of the Internal Political Security Department of the Dak Lak Provincial Police, stated that the 2026 High School Graduation Examination will take place from June 10th to 11th. Over the past few days, the Dak Lak Provincial Police force has been implementing numerous operational plans and measures to ensure absolute security and safety throughout all stages of the examination.
“The provincial police will mobilize nearly 1,000 officers and soldiers from various forces to ensure security and safety for the exam. During the exam, each examination site will have at least 10 officers and soldiers assigned to coordinate with local security forces to provide inner and outer perimeter security. All assigned officers and soldiers have received training in fire prevention and control; ensuring security and safety in the examination area; and checking security conditions at the workplace of the Examination Steering Committee and examination sites, especially the areas where exam papers and answer sheets are stored,” Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Manh informed.

Regarding the transportation of exam papers and answer sheets, Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Manh added that the Provincial Police, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, have developed specific plans suitable to the characteristics of the large geographical area, including some remote and rural areas that still face difficulties and complexities in traffic organization. Vehicles and security forces have been fully prepared to ensure absolute safety throughout the transportation process. At the same time, contingency plans for natural disasters, heavy rain, flooding, or traffic disruptions have also been developed in advance.

“Regarding traffic safety and order, the traffic police and coordinating units will strengthen patrols and controls on key routes and areas near examination centers to promptly manage traffic flow and handle any arising situations. The provincial police will coordinate with local authorities to deploy vehicles and personnel to provide support when necessary, with the goal of ensuring that no candidate misses the exam due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances,” Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Manh emphasized.
Use specialized equipment to prevent fraud.
Besides ensuring security and safety, the Dak Lak Provincial Police are paying special attention to preventing, detecting, and handling high-tech cheating in exams. According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Manh, while previously candidates mainly used mobile phones, now the market offers many modern technological devices such as: miniature earphones, ultra-thin cameras, smartwatches, AI-powered exam-solving glasses with wireless connectivity… making them very difficult to detect with the naked eye.
To combat cheating in exams and ensure fairness for every candidate, the police force will deploy specialized equipment to control and detect prohibited technological devices in examination rooms. Officers will be equipped with handheld inspection devices and will expand their control to areas outside the examination rooms, such as restrooms, locker rooms, and waiting areas, in order to detect and prevent cheating early on.

In cyberspace, the Provincial Police have directed professional units to proactively monitor the situation and strengthen preventive measures from an early stage and from afar to promptly detect, combat, and handle acts of buying, advertising, or using technological devices to facilitate exam cheating. At the same time, the police force has intensified propaganda to ensure that teachers, students, and parents understand the regulations related to protecting state secrets during the exam period.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Manh, the high school graduation exam questions are classified as "Top Secret" state secrets. Copying, distributing, or posting exam questions on social media during the exam period not only violates the exam regulations but can also be prosecuted under the law on protecting state secrets, and may even lead to criminal liability.

Colonel Tran Quang Hieu, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Provincial Police, added that the Provincial Police have closely coordinated with the Department of Education and Training and other functional forces to implement many specific measures. Police at all levels have developed plans, strategies, anticipated situations, and clearly assigned tasks to each force and each officer, ensuring "clear responsibilities, clear tasks, clear accountability, and clear outcomes."
In addition, the police at all levels are stepping up propaganda efforts to ensure that candidates, parents, and the public understand the exam regulations and the organization of this year's exam. Through this propaganda, the authorities are also warning about the methods and tricks used by fraudsters, especially in cyberspace, such as selling exam questions and answers, exam review schemes, grade manipulation, and soliciting parents and candidates to buy small devices to be placed in the ear or on buttons or pens to record or read exam questions and send them outside.
According to the Department of Education and Training, the 2026 high school graduation exam in Dak Lak province will have approximately 35,500 registered candidates, distributed across 62 official examination centers and 55 backup centers with about 1,500 examination rooms spread throughout the province, creating more challenges compared to previous years. The examination staff will number over 5,000 people.
