Minimum admission scores announced for 17 military schools.

On July 24th, the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defence announced the minimum admission scores for regular military university and college programs in 2023.

Accordingly, the Military Science Academy has a minimum admission score of 23 points, applicable to female candidates applying with the following subject combinations: D01 (Mathematics, Literature, English), D02 (Mathematics, Literature, Russian), and D04 (Mathematics, Literature, Chinese).

The Military Medical Academy sets its minimum admission score at the level stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training for health-related fields. Specifically, the Medical program requires 22.5 points.

Conversely, the Officer Schools have significantly lower entrance quality assurance thresholds. In particular, the minimum score for candidates from the South applying with the A00 and A01 subject combinations to the Artillery Officer School is the lowest – 15.

The Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense notes that during the registration period, candidates may register for one of the schools in the group that has been pre-selected, according to their region and eligibility criteria.

Group 1 includes the following academies: Logistics, Navy, Border Guard, Air Defense-Air Force (Command and Staff system) and the following officer schools: Army 1 (for candidates with permanent residence from Quang Binh province northward), Army 2 (for candidates with permanent residence from Quang Tri province southward), Political, Special Forces, Artillery, Armored, Chemical Defense, Communications, and Engineering.

Group 2 includes the following academies: Military Engineering, Military Medicine, and Military Science.

For schools and majors with multiple admission combinations, candidates may register to change their admission combination within the school or major. Additionally, military academies and schools only consider candidates who have met the preliminary selection criteria and registered for admission as their first choice (highest priority) for their military university and college programs.

Candidates can register and adjust their preferences on the Ministry of Education and Training's common system until 5 PM on July 30th.
