(Chinhphu.vn) – Responding to the National Digital Transformation Day on October 10, Vietnam Television (VTV) has just officially announced the national digital television platform VTVGo.

This is one of the outstanding results of Vietnam Television's digital transformation process in recent years, such as investing in infrastructure to produce synchronized programs on digital technology, digitizing content resource warehouses, and preparing for the trend of shifting audiences from traditional TV to applications on the Internet platform.
Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh, Deputy General Director of VTV, said that with the mission of being a national digital platform, VTVgo will distribute content to audiences for new experiences and work with other units to bring content to this platform to enrich the content.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam said that VTV's organization of the announcement of the national digital online television platform VTVGo in response to National Digital Transformation Day is a very meaningful activity, not only sharing the results achieved in the digital transformation of the Station but also contributing to spreading the spirit of digital transformation to press agencies and sharing experiences so that agencies can successfully transform digitally together.
“The national digital television platform VTVGo must maintain its national stature in terms of scale, content quality and technological platform level. Specifically, VTVGo must become a content distribution portal, providing a full, diverse and rich range of VTV television channels, national essential television channels, and essential television channels of 63 local radio and television stations.
VTVGo must have a modern transmission and distribution technology infrastructure with a high level of information security, and be a place to apply advanced technologies in big data and artificial intelligence, helping to bring highly personalized experiences and diverse interactions to domestic and foreign audiences, helping to optimize management and content development, and business based on digital data," Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Lam emphasized.
VTVGo is a free TV viewing application of Vietnam Television, first launched in late 2014.
Vietnam Television has completed the working process and signed agreements with TV manufacturers and distributors in the Vietnamese market on pre-installing the national digital TV platform VTVGo on TV products, and integrating VTVGo hard keys on control devices.
