At the meeting, comrade Bui Thanh Nhan praised the efforts of the enterprise and the Pouyuen Vietnam Trade Union in nearly 30 years of operation, especially the work of taking care of the material and spiritual life of workers - the core force of the enterprise with the largest labor scale in Ho Chi Minh City.

He suggested that the grassroots trade unions continue to promote the achieved results, innovate their forms of operation, promote the movement "Good workers - Creative workers", promote technical innovations, improve productivity and production efficiency, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.

The delegation also visited the communal dining hall and Little Sun Kindergarten (invested by the company to serve workers' children), visited the lives and learned about the working conditions of the workers, as well as the activities of the grassroots union.

According to Mr. Cu Phat Nghiep, Chairman of the Labor Union of Pouyuen Vietnam Company, the company currently has 40,756 employees working in 6 sports shoe factories, of which 99.5% are union members. The average income of workers is more than 10 million VND/month. The company organizes 10 canteens, 327 shuttle buses to pick up workers from neighboring provinces, 20 free after-hours vocational training classes, and has many welfare policies such as supporting workers to raise young children, giving gold to long-time employees, giving bus tickets to go home for Tet, and 3 gift giving sessions every year.

The company also currently dedicates more than 16,000 square meters of land for trade union activities, building offices, halls, sports fields, mini supermarkets and canteens to serve workers, demonstrating the practical companionship between the enterprise and the trade union organization in building a safe, civilized and sustainable working environment.

Despite having a stable working environment, Pouyuen Vietnam is still facing difficulties in recruiting workers, especially during the peak production period at the end of the year when orders increase sharply. Mr. Nghiep requested the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to support connecting labor sources and at the same time recommended adjusting the union fee to match the actual income of workers.
