The life of the world's "poorest" president

Jose "Pepe" Mujica, known as the "world's poorest president", has died at the age of 89 from cancer.

According to The Guardian on May 13, former Uruguayan leader Jose "Pepe" Mujica, who was dubbed " the world's poorest president ", passed away at the age of 89 due to cancer. Photo: GI.

In a post on social network X, Uruguayan President Yamandú Orsi wrote: "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of comrade José Pepe Mujica, president, activist, guide and leader. We will miss him very much. Thank you for everything you gave us and for your deep love for the people." Photo: Britannica.
