Toyota Art Contest

With the aim of creating a rewarding platform to ignite a passion for drawing, the Toyota International "Dream Car" drawing contest has become an annual event for young art lovers.

The Toyota International Dream Car Art Contest is a rewarding and exciting annual event that sparks a passion for drawing among students. It also allows them to freely express their artistic talent, creativity, and vivid imagination about a car or other means of transportation that will help people get around in the future.

This year's paintings are consistent in terms of aesthetics and compelling ideas.

This year's competition, organized by Toyota Vietnam in collaboration with the Thiếu niên Tiền phong and Nhi Đồng newspapers, received over 550,000 entries within just three months of its launch. The artists behind this impressive number of paintings are young artists aged 8 to 15 from across the country. According to the organizers, this year's entries are quite consistent in terms of aesthetics and ideas.

In particular, this year saw many paintings with ideas about environmentally friendly cars, such as: a Toyota "For a Green Earth" wind-powered car; a vehicle that recycles industrial waste into a working tool for workers and farmers; or vehicles that contribute to society, such as: a car that purifies the air and provides free medical examinations and treatment for workers in industrial zones; a car shaped like a syringe, ready to provide emergency care and treatment to patients at any time;… This shows that students observe and care about the environment and the community from a very young age. This will be the foundation for them to take actions later to build a safer, happier, and more peaceful life for everyone.

The first prize-winning painting, "Vehicles recycling industrial waste into tools for workers and farmers," was created by Nguyen Minh Trang.

The judging panel, comprised of highly qualified and experienced professionals such as art experts, photographers, and animation directors, worked diligently and impartially to select 15 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 30 third prizes, and 90 consolation prizes, including 10 prizes awarded by online audience voting. In addition, the organizers also selected 9 outstanding paintings to participate in the international competition in Japan in February 2024.

On January 21st, at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, the organizing committee awarded prizes to the 60 most outstanding works with creative ideas and meaningful, humane messages. Speaking at the awards ceremony, Mr. Kei Nishikawa - Head of Administration, Toyota Vietnam, shared: "I feel very happy and fortunate to have witnessed the excellent works with unique ideas from the students, such as the wind-powered car, the industrial waste recycling vehicle, etc. I would like to thank the partner organizations, teachers, students, and art clubs that have been and are participating in and supporting the competition."

"The Magical Car with Lights Illuminates the Soul of the Younger Generation" - Nguyen Hoang An Khanh is one of nine paintings selected to participate in an international competition in Japan.

After 13 years of organization, the organizing committee has received over 6 million entries and achieved significant results, including: 1 Gold medal, 1 Silver medal, 1 Bronze medal, and 4 Encouragement awards at the international competition held in Japan. These impressive numbers demonstrate the competition's consistent positive response from students nationwide, motivating Toyota Vietnam to continue organizing the drawing competition in particular and other social contribution activities in various fields in general.
