On the evening of January 5th, the People's Committee of Phu Quy Special Economic Zone ( Lam Dong province) announced that, after a period of disruption, gasoline stations in the area had resumed supplying fuel to residents by that afternoon.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Linh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Quy Special Economic Zone, the fuel reserve of Military Region 7 has initially provided 5,000 liters of gasoline per day to fuel businesses in the special economic zone. From the evening of January 5th, some gas stations on Phu Quy Island resumed selling gasoline to residents.

As reported by SGGP newspaper, since January 4th, two gas stations in the Phu Quy special economic zone have completely run out of gasoline. Only the Tan Tien gas station is still selling a small amount, with each person only able to buy 1-2 liters.
By the morning of January 5th, all three gas stations on the island had announced they had run out of fuel. The reason for the localized fuel shortage in the special administrative region was the prolonged bad weather, which prevented transport ships from operating to refuel the island from the mainland.
