Ten contestants from various districts, towns, and cities participated in the competition. Each contestant had 15 minutes to present, introduce, and promote cultural and tourism products in their area. The competition's content focused on themes related to the unique characteristics of the land and people of each locality, highlighting the vibrant cultural spaces and community activities of the ethnic groups in Dien Bien province; and spreading the cultural and tourism values ​​of the region.

The competition showcasing the culture and tourism of districts, towns, and cities was organized to introduce and help tourists learn more about the traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic groups in Dien Bien province, as well as tourist attractions; contributing to the preservation and conservation of historical values. The competition left many emotions and impressions on a large number of people and tourists.

“This is my first time visiting Dien Bien Phu city and participating in the Ban Flower Festival, and the experience is truly exciting and joyful; the highland cultural atmosphere is very unique,” ​​shared Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, a tourist from Vinh Phuc province.

The judging panel scored based on the following criteria: the content of the guidance and introduction; the content of the display and illustration of the traditional cultural space. Simultaneously, the display and introduction of costumes, cultural spaces, and traditional crafts; accurate, concise, and engaging information that creates a lasting impression and evokes emotions.

The judging panel scored the contestants' performances in each section of the competition.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Chuyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province, said: “Through the competition, we have seen the traditional values ​​of the ethnic groups clearly and richly expressed. This conveys cultural values ​​aimed at developing tourism in Dien Bien province.”

The competition is one of the highlights of the 2025 Ban Flower Festival. Through this competition, the aim is to raise awareness of the important role of preserving, promoting, and showcasing traditional cultural heritage; to introduce the unique beauty, attractiveness, tourist destinations, and traditional cultural features of the localities.
