Speaking at the opening of the event, Mr. Do Tien Sy - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) highly appreciated the book display activities of the VOV Library and the Editorial Secretariat; emphasized that this is a meaningful activity to encourage and develop the reading movement among officers, reporters, and editors throughout the station.
The General Director also requested the Editorial Secretariat and VOV Library to increase the collection and addition to the entire station's library of precious books, especially books on journalism skills as well as works by journalists. In particular, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, VOV Library introduces and displays the latest book series from Lien Viet Bookstore, including 24 books recreating the Dien Bien Phu Campaign from many angles, helping you Reading once again shows the great stature and enormous influence of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory on the Vietnamese people and progressive humanity around the world.
It is known that the VOV library currently holds more than 10.000 research books, documents, and literary works, especially many books on journalism skills and works of TNVN journalists.
