Strolling around Hoan Kiem Lake, sipping egg coffee

On April 15, Apple CEO Tim Cook's personal page on social network X posted pictures and interesting statuses when he arrived in Vietnam, starting activities during his business trip until the 16th. According to the plan, the Apple CEO met with programmers, content creators and visited schools.

“There is no place like Vietnam, a vibrant and beautiful country. I am so excited to be here connecting with students, innovators and customers, and understanding the diversity of how they use our products to do extraordinary things,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook.

The first place Apple CEO Tim Cook visited was Madam Hien restaurant on Hang Be street. Here, he enjoyed egg coffee with singers My Linh and My Anh.

With gold as the main color, Madam Hien restaurant is built with symmetrical architecture, impressing with wooden doors combined with glass covering the entire facade. Besides European dishes, this place is famous for dishes with strong Vietnamese flavors such as: pho, fried spring rolls, braised fish, rice rolls, spring rolls... The dishes here are not only meticulously prepared but also elaborately decorated, bringing a memorable experience to diners.

According to information, the Apple CEO's delegation made reservations at the restaurant about 2 weeks ago and said they mainly wanted to try the egg coffee, which Madam Hien has just added to the menu since 2023.

Madam Hien’s egg coffee is sweeter than some other shops. The whipped egg layer, which takes up about 2/3 of the cup, blends with coffee made from robusta beans from Lam Dong, creating a mild sweetness. To mask the fishy taste of the egg, the barista added rum and honey. Apple CEO Tim Cook lingered here for about 25 minutes to enjoy the coffee and chat with the two artists.

After tasting the typical Vietnamese drink, the Apple CEO took a walk on Dinh Tien Hoang Street, past the Hanoi Post Office . He met with Ngo Duc Duy - a technology content creator.

“I got to meet Apple CEO Tim Cook in person right in Hanoi . It was a dreamy morning when I was welcomed, chatted with him and walked around Hoan Kiem Lake with him,” Duc Duy expressed his joy on his personal Facebook page.

It is known that through this visit, Apple strengthened its commitment to Vietnam, increased spending on suppliers, and made many positive developments in the initiative to support clean water for local schools.

Tim Cook and keywords related to his visit to Vietnam are currently topping searches on social media platforms. His name is currently ranked 2nd on Google in Vietnam with more than 10,000 searches.

The search for egg coffee on Google also increased dramatically when he visited the old town to enjoy this dish. Currently, the photo of egg coffee that the Apple CEO shared on the X platform received nearly 800,000 views after 9 hours of posting.
