One of the most memorable moments for Hoang was his time in Hue, along with the rest of the country, responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. During those difficult days, Hoang was instrumental in establishing a rapid response volunteer youth team of 20 members. They participated in manning checkpoints in Phong Dien (formerly), provided logistical support for COVID-19 patients treated in isolation facilities in Huong Tra town (formerly), and assisted with vaccination data entry and health declarations.

Throughout his journey of "igniting passion," Hoang has always accompanied and supported young people and members in choosing their majors and careers, contributing to guiding young people, especially 12th-grade students, to understand their interests and strengths so they can choose a suitable environment for future development.

The youth skills training model for developing young leaders includes models such as the lion dance team fundraising volunteer program, traditional education through experiences like "We and Hue Culture," "Experiencing English," and "We and Folk Games," helping children in six North Central provinces better understand the culture and people of Hue; or the model of linking youth volunteer movements to mobilize hundreds of members to distribute hundreds of gifts, plant trees, and carry out youth projects... Each initiative is a testament to the creative thinking and community spirit of the young leaders of Huong Tra.

Nguyen Ngoc Huy Hoang has always been steadfast in his chosen path: spreading patriotism and community spirit through practical actions, living a beautiful and useful life as a young person. As proof that his words match his deeds, Hoang is considered a "red thread" connecting the movement, a "catalyst" igniting the youthful enthusiasm of Huong Tra youth for over 10 years of participating in local activities.

Programs such as "One good news story per week, one good story per member," "Talented Youth Leaders of Huong Tra," "Youth Book Shelf," and online training sessions on Youth Union rituals during the COVID-19 period, initiated and maintained by Hoang, have been highly praised as highlights that bring a fresh and creative dimension to the "I Love My Homeland" movement, helping the youth of Huong Tra better understand and love their homeland through journeys back to their roots.

Driven by a desire to bring love and sharing from the community to students in difficult circumstances, Nguyen Ngoc Huy Hoang advised and coordinated with the Student Volunteer Club of the University of Foreign Languages ​​- Hue University to organize three "Spring of Love - Abundant Tet" programs, distributing hundreds of gifts in Huong Binh, Huong Van, and Huong Toan. He also implemented youth projects at Huong Xuan and Huong Chu kindergartens and Tran Dang Khoa Secondary School, creating safe and creative play spaces for children and students in these areas.

Through fundraising methods such as "Golden Pig of Love - Sharing Hearts," "Lottery of Love," or "Meals with Meat"—programs that Hoang maintained and inherited from the previous generation of the executive board—members have joined hands to support hundreds of Tet gifts for poor students and lonely elderly people in programs like "Abundant Spring," "A Loving Winter," etc.

For his persistent and commendable contributions, Hoang has been honored with numerous commendations from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation, and the Provincial Youth Union (now the Hue City Youth Union) consecutively from 2019 to 2025. He is also one of 69 outstanding individuals nationwide who were honored with the "October 15th" award in 2025 by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation – an award recognizing the efforts, creativity, and continuous contributions of outstanding individuals in youth union work and youth movements.

Currently, Hoang has left his youth work to take on a new position at the Party Building Committee of Binh Dien Commune Party Committee. However, as Hoang shared, regardless of his position, the goal of living a beautiful and responsible life and being ready to contribute to the community is something he always strives for.
