De Bruyne's income at Napoli has dropped significantly.

Despite receiving several other attractive offers, Kevin De Bruyne seems to be leaning towards a move to Napoli this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano , the Serie A champions have offered De Bruyne a three-year contract, in which Napoli's salary for the Belgian midfielder would be flexibly adjusted each year.

For the first two seasons, De Bruyne's salary will be €6 million per year (after tax), which will then decrease to €5 million in the third season. Although this salary is significantly lower than what the Belgian midfielder received at Man City (around €23 million per season), De Bruyne is still happy with this arrangement.

Napoli also promised an attractive signing bonus when De Bruyne joined the team on a free transfer. Napoli believed that the combination of salary and ideal living environment would make it easier for De Bruyne to make a decision.

Family played a significant role in De Bruyne's decision. Michele Lacroix, De Bruyne's wife, also visited the Italian city to learn about their new home.

Following the FA Cup final on May 18th, De Bruyne shared his thoughts on his future: "I want to play beautiful football, wherever I play. I'm also not sure if I'll stay in the Premier League. My decision now depends on my family."

If Napoli manage to sign De Bruyne, they will have a seasoned star in their squad for the Champions League next season. Many Italian newspapers have stated that De Bruyne choosing Napoli is only a matter of time.
