Dele Alli has yet to confirm his ability in Como's shirt. |
Lane7 Leisure Centre, based in Milton Keynes, Alli's hometown, recently offered the 29-year-old a professional bowling contract, with a host of perks. They even printed bowling balls with Alli's image and his shirt number.
Lane7 also honored the player by naming a lane “Dele Alley.” Lane7 officials hope this move will help convince Alli to become a professional bowler and join the center.
Gavin Hughes, Managing Director of Lane7, said: “Dele Alli is a Milton Keynes hero. From MK Dons, Tottenham to England, he deserves to be recognised. We hope the fans will enjoy Dele Alley and we hope he can try his hand at a new sport !”
Lane7's offer comes as Alli's football career comes to a standstill. After leaving Everton in June 2023 and becoming a free agent, Alli continued to train at the English club under coach Sean Dyche before trialing at Como.
In January 2025, he officially signed an 18-month contract with Como after a month of training with the team. The English midfielder only played 9 minutes for Como in the entire 2024/25 season. Coach Fabregas did not rate Alli highly and the Italian club considered the option of terminating the player's contract early.
Once a mainstay of Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino and a member of the 2019 Champions League final, Alli's career declined after Pochettino left the "Rooster".
