Dele Alli has yet to prove his worth while playing for Como. |
Lane7 Entertainment Centre, based in Milton Keynes, Alli's hometown, recently offered the 29-year-old a professional bowling contract, complete with numerous perks. They even had bowling balls printed with Alli's image and his jersey number.
Lane7 also honored the player by naming a lane "Dele Alley." Lane7's management hopes this move will help them persuade Alli to become a professional bowling athlete and join their center.
Gavin Hughes, CEO of Lane7, proudly stated: “Dele Alli is a hero of Milton Keynes. From MK Dons, Tottenham to England, he deserves to be celebrated. We hope fans will be excited about Dele Alley and look forward to him trying out a new sport !”
Lane7's offer comes at a time when Alli's football career is at a standstill. After leaving Everton in June 2023 and becoming a free agent, Alli continued training at the English club under manager Sean Dyche before undergoing a trial at Como.
In January 2025, he officially signed an 18-month contract with Como after a month of training with the team. The English midfielder only played 9 minutes for Como throughout the 2024/25 season. Alli was not highly regarded by coach Fabregas, and the Italian club considered terminating his contract early.
Once a key player for Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino and a feature in the 2019 Champions League final, Alli's career declined after Pochettino left the club.
