At the scene, a large amount of rocks and trees from the hillside collapsed down, burying the road. Cars and motorbikes could not move when they reached this area, causing a long traffic jam and congestion.
Immediately after the incident, the construction unit of the National Highway 28B Improvement Project quickly mobilized machinery and human resources to the scene to urgently fix the problem. Local people also actively joined hands to help clean up and clear the road. By 5:45 p.m. the same day, the road was temporarily reopened to traffic.
Earlier on the afternoon of October 27, a landslide also occurred at this location, causing traffic congestion. In addition to this location, prolonged heavy rains also caused landslides on National Highway 28B through Dai Ninh Pass.
