COVID-19 epidemic today: Number of cases decreased

Regarding the COVID-19 epidemic situation today , the Ministry of Health said that from 4:00 p.m. on April 8 to 4:00 p.m. on April 9, the whole country recorded 44 cases. Last week, our country also recorded more than 400 cases, a sharp increase compared to previous weeks.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11,527,745 infections, ranking 13th out of 230 countries and territories, while with the rate of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 121st out of 230 countries and territories (on average, there are 116,497 infections per 1 million people).

During the day, 26 more patients were announced to be cured, bringing the total number of cured cases to 10,615,079. The number of patients currently receiving oxygen is 6, including 1 on invasive mechanical ventilation.

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,186, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

Total deaths ranked 26th out of 230 territories, deaths per 1 million people ranked 141st out of 230 countries and territories in the world .

On April 8, 13 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were injected. Thus, the total number of doses of vaccine injected is 266,022,370 doses.
