According to Sun Group's media team, while the first three nights of the competition deeply depicted historical and cultural stories with a rich history and achievements, the fourth night (June 20, 2026) presented a new space, a space of imagination towards the future, with distinctly different colors and sounds. Both teams excelled in fulfilling this requirement.

The Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke team (Germany) kicked off the competition night with a "fire-lighting" performance, painting a vibrant fireworks display across the Da Nang sky. Despite this being their first time participating in DIFF, the German team, with over 150 years of experience in fireworks design, showcased their strengths in structure, precision, and perfect synchronization between the music and each fireworks effect.

The performance, titled "Pyrographics," featured clusters of golden fireworks, glittering crowns, silver brushes, multi-tiered star-shaped fireworks, and more, transforming the German team's competition act into a giant, dynamic display of color technology. The audience was captivated by the precise, powerful light images and the modern approach to the performance.

Meanwhile, the Apple Pyrotechnics team (Macau, China) opted for a cinematic storytelling approach with their performance "Celestial Journey to the West," depicting a somewhat surreal mythological space, with symphonic music, electronic music, and water-based fireworks effects all appearing together.

Music inspired by the novel Journey to the West played, accompanied by visual effects of fan-shaped fireworks, color changes, and cascading lights, creating a magical world before the viewers' eyes. More importantly, all these effects combined to create a performance that elevated the audience's emotions and imagination.

A competition night featuring two performances, one realistic and the other fantastical, created a new atmosphere for DIFF 2026. Major General, musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association and a member of the DIFF 2026 judging panel, observed: “The DIFF competition is becoming increasingly creative, with all participating teams striving to surpass themselves and create unique features for the event. This competition night further demonstrated the strong, novel, and unique creativity of the participating teams, with their own storytelling styles and highlights, making the themes very rich and diverse.”

According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the appeal of DIFF 2026 is bringing new indicators to local tourism. In the first three nights, accommodation establishments in the city welcomed over 326,000 visitors, a 36.7% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Of these, international visitors accounted for over 136,000, a 33.7% increase, while domestic visitors reached nearly 190,000, a 38.9% increase. The average occupancy rate across the city exceeded 70%, and on the third night of the competition, it reached over 75%. All of this further confirms DIFF's position as the leading fireworks festival in the region and Asia's summer destination.
