Speaking at the conference, Colonel Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy, expressed his pleasure in welcoming the leaders and delegates from various agencies, units, and reporters from newspapers and television stations. Colonel Pham Minh Tuan also expressed his gratitude for the deep affection shown by the delegation to the forces currently carrying out combat readiness duties in the seas and islands of the Fatherland, especially the officers and soldiers of Truong Sa and the DK1 platform.

"These sentiments contribute to creating immense motivation for every officer and soldier in the Air Force to continue overcoming all difficulties and dangers, uniting as one, standing firm at the forefront, and fulfilling their responsibilities," Colonel Pham Minh Tuan expressed.

According to Colonel Tuan, this trip has its advantages but also its difficulties, especially for those comrades who are undertaking a long sea voyage for the first time. With their dedication and sense of responsibility, the agencies and units of the Navy will do their utmost to ensure the trip is a resounding success.

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy expressed hope that the trip would bring the delegation interesting and beneficial experiences, leaving behind beautiful impressions and memories, and especially providing valuable practical insights.

"After this trip, we will have a basis to advise the Party, the State, and central and local ministries and agencies on correct and timely policies and decisions regarding the country's seas and islands, and at the same time, gain a better understanding of the immense value of our seas and islands in the cause of building and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam," Colonel Pham Minh Tuan emphasized.

At the conference, the delegation received briefings and instructions on the maritime itinerary plan, safety regulations, accommodation, transportation, and operational activities on ships, islands, and offshore platforms, as well as information and communication work.

In addition, to encourage, motivate, build determination, and promote the responsibility and intelligence of each member of the working group, contributing to the excellent completion of the planned tasks, Comrade Dang Van Canh - Head of the Naval Political Department's working group - launched a competitive emulation movement to excellently complete the mission of Working Group No. 6, visiting and encouraging the military and people of Truong Sa and DK1 platform in 2024 with the theme: "Unity, camaraderie, meritorious service, decisive victory".

According to Comrade Dang Van Canh, the goal of the movement is to create a vibrant atmosphere, motivate, encourage, and inspire members of the working group to be proactive, creative, overcome difficulties, and demonstrate strong determination to successfully complete the mission of visiting the Truong Sa archipelago and the DK1 platform, practically achieving accomplishments to celebrate major holidays such as: the 49th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024) and International Labor Day (May 1); the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) and the 69th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Navy (May 7, 1955 - May 7, 2023), and towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.

During this trip, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor donated two CQ boats worth 10.4 billion VND, two trade union vegetable gardens worth 500 million VND to the military and people of Truong Sa island district, and the delegation from Thai Nguyen province contributed 1 billion VND to the "Greening Truong Sa" program.
