Cultural house area of Duc Tien village, Hoang Hop commune.
Walking on the village road leading to the Duc Tien village cultural house, the peaceful countryside space appears with Duc Giao communal house and houses close together. In the blazing sun, the fish pond in front of the village cultural house is like an “air conditioner” to reduce the hot summer days. The fish pond is lined, neatly paved, and has railings installed, surrounded by stone benches and neatly planted trees.
Mr. Le Van Du, Party cell secretary, head of the front work committee of Duc Tien village, is always proud that since implementing the construction of a model new-style rural village, the village has taken on a new look. He excitedly said: Implementing the model new-style rural village, the people in the village voluntarily contributed 1.2 billion VND to build a cultural house. At the same time, they joined hands to install security cameras connected to the village cultural house. To protect the environment, the households also discussed and renovated the entire wastewater drainage system in the residential area, with a length of 1.5km; renovated the communal pond, built a road to the cemetery... The people's joint contributions have contributed to making Duc Tien one of the first model new-style rural villages in Hoang Hop commune.
In Thanh Minh model new rural village, the system of village roads and alleys is not only solidified, but also ensures the criteria of bright - green - clean - beautiful, creating favorable conditions for people to travel. Many roads in the village have been expanded, thanks to the consensus of financial contributions and land donations from households. There is also a mini park project, with an area of over 3,000m2, with trees, stone benches, an outdoor stage, a solar power system, a railing system around the pond... This place is not only a highlight of Thanh Minh village's landscape space, but also a place for community activities, entertainment, and physical exercise for people. “The mini park was built thanks to the contributions of more than 200 households. In addition to donating agricultural land, the households also contributed 950 million VND to build the project together with the villagers and children living far from home. The countryside has really changed a lot now, with roads having flowers, houses having numbers, and solid infrastructure. The average income of the villagers has also increased compared to before, reaching 69.54 million VND/person in 2024” - Mr. Le Ngoc Hong, head of Thanh Minh village shared.
The model new rural villages have created a solid foundation, contributing to bringing Hoang Hop commune to the advanced new rural destination by 2024. This is the result of the correct orientations of the Party committees and authorities at all levels and the consensus and support of the people. The average income per capita of the commune currently reaches 69.84 million VND/year; the economic structure has shifted positively with the proportion of services - trade accounting for 40.38%, small-scale industry - construction accounting for 38%, agriculture - forestry only 21.62%. All 5 villages in the commune have cultural houses, sports grounds ensuring area, infrastructure, and equipment to meet the living needs of the people. The schools and stations in the commune meet the prescribed standards... Cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities are organized enthusiastically in residential areas, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people. The appearance of the countryside has changed dramatically, especially when major traffic infrastructure projects are implemented through the area. In early 2025, to mobilize capital from road upgrading and renovation projects, Hoang Hop commune mobilized people to donate land to expand roads. Understanding the benefits of road expansion and upgrading, 111 households in the commune donated more than 11,000 square meters of agricultural land to expand the road connecting Kim - Quy road to Hoang Giang commune; 2 households donated 300 square meters of agricultural land to expand the main road in front of the commune office area, contributing to bringing practical benefits to the socio-economic development of the locality.
In the near future, Hoang Hop commune will merge with three communes of Hoang Xuan, Hoang Giang, and Hoang Quy into a large commune, named Hoang Giang. Local people expect that after the merger, all constraints on administrative boundaries and "local" distances will be removed, economic and social relations will be harmonized, creating favorable conditions for people to stabilize their lives, develop the economy, and join hands to build the land along the Ma River to become increasingly innovative.
