In recent years, the business community and entrepreneurs in the province have developed rapidly in both quantity and quality; actively innovated, created, and flexibly invested, expanded production and business scale, making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the average economic growth rate of the province will reach 7.5%/year, higher than the average of the period of 2016 - 2020 (7%/year) and higher than the national average (6.3%/year). The economic scale in 2024 will reach more than 354 trillion VND, expected to reach 390 trillion VND in 2025 (ranked 6th out of 34 provinces and cities), 1.56 times higher than in 2020. GRDP per capita in 2025 is estimated at 105.2 million VND, an increase of 1.48 times compared to 2020. The economic structure continues to shift positively, it is estimated that by the end of 2025, the proportion of the industrial and service sectors will account for about 86.8% and the agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors will account for about 13.2%.

Contributing to the above success is the great role of the business community and entrepreneurs in the area. Enterprises not only create large revenue sources for the State budget, but also create jobs for hundreds of thousands of local workers, actively participate in social security activities, contributing to building Phu Tho province to be increasingly innovative, develop quickly and sustainably.

A typical example is Toyota Vietnam Automobile Company (Toyota), present in the province since 1995, Toyota has continuously grown, becoming one of the leading companies in the field of automobile manufacturing in the Vietnamese market. That success not only brings economic benefits to the enterprise but also promotes the supporting industry, creating a strong ecosystem, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

Since its establishment, Toyota Vietnam Automobile Company has contributed more than 14.4 billion USD to the State budget.

Mr. Nakano Keita, General Director of Toyota Vietnam Automobile Company, shared: In Toyota's development strategy, all goals are aimed at building a better community and society. To realize that goal and commitment, since its establishment, Toyota has contributed more than 14.4 billion USD to the State budget. In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, it reached more than 454 million USD, nearly 3 times higher than the same period last year. Currently, Toyota creates direct jobs for nearly 1,500 workers, of which nearly 50% are local people. The company is also implementing many community and social security activities from ensuring traffic safety, environmental protection, to culture and education , to improve the quality of life for local people.

Mr. Nakano Keita highly appreciated the current business investment environment in Phu Tho. The support of the local government is an important factor that helps Toyota feel secure in its long-term investment. Toyota's success is a testament to the strong, mutually beneficial relationship between the business and the locality.

Phu Tho's success today is marked by the close cooperation between the government and businesses. The province always strives to improve the quality of governance at all levels; provincial leaders are always receptive, accompanying businesses and investors in the process of learning about investment as well as implementing projects, focusing on promoting administrative reform, digital transformation, taking care of local investors; promptly removing difficulties and obstacles and creating the most favorable conditions for investors to stabilize and develop...

With a favorable investment and business environment, in the past 5 years (2020 - 2025), the province has attracted nearly 600 domestic investment projects with a registered capital of more than 171,000 billion VND and 230 FDI projects with a registered capital of more than 3.5 billion USD. There are 12,800 newly established enterprises, bringing the total number of enterprises operating in the area to nearly 41,000.

Phu Tho after the merger has more room and space for economic development. The goal by 2030 is that Phu Tho will be one of the growth poles of the Capital region; become a center for industrial development, trade, logistics, tourism, healthcare, high-quality training and organize large cultural festivals associated with national roots; a center for organizing national and international events; have a GRDP growth rate at comparable prices for the period 2026 - 2030 of about 11 - 12%/year. GRDP per capita is about 220 - 230 million VND; the contribution of the TFP factor to growth in the period 2026 - 2030 is about 55 - 60%; the contribution of the digital economy is over 30% of GRDP; there are basically no poor households according to multidimensional standards; the urbanization rate is 35 - 40%; the infrastructure is synchronous and modern.

To achieve the above goal, the province focuses on developing economic sectors, creating equality between types of enterprises to attract investment resources. Accordingly, Phu Tho commits to creating the most transparent, stable and favorable investment environment; investing heavily in transport infrastructure, logistics, renewable energy to support production development; coordinating with enterprises in training high-quality human resources, meeting new technology requirements... Especially the policy on administrative procedure reform to reduce time and costs for enterprises; publicizing planning, land use plans and supporting enterprises in site clearance; promptly resolving problems, feedback and recommendations of people, enterprises, business households; promoting online and remote inspection activities...
